How to fix this problem?
i took the printer into a service center and they have replaced the board and the paper feed. seems to be common
thank god its still under warranty!!

SOURCE: I have an error code
Issue: ERROR LCD: Error code (5xxx through 9xxx) appears on the display
1. Press ON/OFF switch to reset the multifunction device 2. Press Stop/Reset and ON/OFF to reset the printer 3. Removing paper jams MP500 / MP800 / MP950 4. The MP800 may require repair 5. Unlock the scanner lock switch (MP800 / MP950)

6A00 means you need a new purge assembly. That's the unit that cleans the printhead. Part number is QM2-3032-000 around $30.00 but a shop should install it.

6A00 is a problem with the sheet feed unit.
Canon says you need to send it to them to fix.
Before you do, turn the printer off and try moving the carriage back and forth a few times. At the same time, look for any debris in the area that could be jamming the sheet feed unit.
Turn the printer back on and see if the error goes away. Several other people with this problem report solving it this way.
