I've replaced the mosfet rjh3047 because short-circuited. the new one is gone as well shorted. thing else I can check?

you must have some diagram b) must test some around components like capacitor+diode+resistor+ic+Trafo , that will be in short circuit this will provoke the short in your MOSFET transistor.

God bless you

When pushing the channel down or channel up button.......it turns four our five channels up or down. Ie. not one at a time....what's up???

Hello
Your remote control need to be cleaned. I've given its proceedigns about how to do it, in my Tips. I'll copy and paste it for you here.

Remote control handsets of most of the electronic devices will get damaged after some time. Some of them can be set right by cleaning the remote control. Remote handsets of some devices will be not available to get from the open market or even from the service centers of the producers. In such cases, cleaning tme may get it to work.

Normally, all infrared type remote controls are made up of silicon rubber touch pads. Each touch button in it will have a small carbon button inside it, which comes in contact with the carbon track on the internal circuit board. These carbon tracks are connected ot various pins of an IC [Integrated Circuit] on the remote's circuit board. For each button touch, generates signals of different frequency, which in turn activates the infrared LED [Light Emitting Diode], which emits infrared light waves of the same frequency. This infrared light waves are recived at the device to which controlled[whether it is a TV, DVD, VCR, DVR etc:]. There is an infrared reciever inside the device, usually called "remote sensor", which receives this signals, convert it to corresponding frequecny signals , and processed by the main system control IC insid the device and contols it.

Generally, the remote handset can be called a neglected device. No extra care will be given to it by the customer. The batteris in the remote control will get damaged after one to two years. It will finally get leaked and the electrolyte in the battery will get in contact with the battery contacts at the battery comartment. This electrolte will react with metal contacts at the battery compartment which in turn supplies the battery voltage to internal circuits of the remote control handset. If these contacts get rusted due to this electrolyte contact, supply line to the remote control will be interrupted and the remote control will be ded, even after replacing it with new batteries. First thing to check with for a dead remote is this battery contacts. If there is rust or dirt accumulated, clean them using anything like a razor blade, very small file [seen with some nail cutters]. If the fault was due to battery contact, this process of cleaning will rectify the problem.

To cleean the inner circuits of the remote control, you have to open the remote control. Most of the remote controls' case are 'press fitted' with lower and upper case parts. There may be 4 to 6 of such locks. Some remotes will have screws also. Detach the lower and upper case, by using any sharp tool. A guitar pick will be efficicant ot do this work. Just look for the locks at one side, press the lock position inwards and try to lifit up or pull out the case part. Do this work with causion and patience. Never try to get it apart quickly. Get the case open without breaking it.

Inside the remote control, you can see a printed circuit board, with carbon tracks, and IC two or three other components, and an infrared LED. Check the soldering terminals of the infrared LED [two solderings] for any loose solder. If loose solder is detected, resolder that points by applying a little more solder.

Cleaning should be done very carefully. Never use strong solvents like petrol. Rectified spirit is most prefferable. Medical quality turpentine can also be used. This can be bought from most of the medical shops. Just dip a piece of soft cloth in thes solvents, and wipe out the carbon track and inside of the touch pad. If you use pwtrol for this purpose, the rubber part of the touch pad will get damaged and will turn stiky. After clean up, let it dry under a fan for some time. Reset the unit as it was before. If no other damge ot IC or other components is there, the remote control should work properly.
OK.

No power, even the battery is new and fully charge

If the mobile phone does not switch on, it is called a dead mobile.
It can be due to many reasons
1. Water damage
2. Fall down
3. Not used for a long time ( Mostly battery is down)

(1) Check the Battery. It should show 3.7 volts or as written on the battery.

(2) Check the Battery Connector
Check two things (a) Voltage coming or not (b) shorting
Note : If there is shorting then clean the circuit in ultrasonic cleaner (Remove display, camera, etc before putting it in ultrasonic cleaner )
Clean the circuit with a soft brush and make it dry with a hair dryer or ****er.
If the shorting doesn't go it may be due to shorting in an ic,capacitor or circuit. if shorting is in ic u can check it by attaching a battery then press the on-off switch keep the battery for 10-15 seconds. after that remove the battery and check which ic becomes hot. Reball or replace that ic. If shorting is in circuit it must be removed by ultrasonic cleaner
Note - The circuit is made of three layers. if there is shorting in the middle layer it cannot be removed
(3) Check the On/Off switch & voltage at on-off switch
Note - Connect a charger. If charging is shown on display then the problem is with the on/off switch or software problem

(4) Try flashing the mobile.

(5) If flashing cannot be done then there is hardware fault we first dry solder the Flash IC & RAM IC and check in the Software. if flashing cannot be done then we dry solder/reball/replace flash ic & RAM ic.After that dry solder/reball/replace Power IC, Network IC, Crystal, CPU :D:D

I have a zenith model z60zb3r8 rear projection tv. it is clear as a bell for about the first 20 or 25 minutes then it goes out of focus . i have been told it was the focus switch but iam not sure .can it...

Focus switch ? sorry i bin doing this for 17 years if your set has one it's the 1st one ever ... somthing is over heating being a projection the 1st things i would look into is the Convergence IC's ...since it's is a heating prob get some frezit spray if it is the conv ic's you can hit them with the spray when there acting up and it may start to work if so you found your prob replace then and you be fine ... dont forget the heaksink compound or you will burn up the new IC's

Good luck

Why would batteries recharge in an unpredictable manner? Sometimes they are fully recharged and the next time the show they are recharded but they are ot.

This normally happens when the Power IC of you phone is blown. Due to which the battery is not able to hold the charge. Even if you purchase a new battery it will give you the same problem. You can get the phone repaired by changing the power IC.

This issue occurs when the phone is dropped onto a hard surface.

Blue Convergence problems

Yes thats what you need. Just go to radio shack get a de soldering Iron (the kind with the rubberbulb works fine) as wel as a fine pointed low wattage Iron. Also pick up a tube of heat sink compound while your there. Then lable your wires on the tv that you remove. Desolder both STK392-040 chips and solder in the new ones. Just ve careful not to bridge any of the pins with solder chck them with a magnifying glass. Dont forget to coat the back side of the new heat sinks with heat sink compound. You will need to adjust the convergence when youre finished. Just go slow it takes about an hour. I would also vheck the resistors right next to the ICs at times on or two of them get burnt when the ICs go out. Heres a link to where you can get the replacement ICs.
