to delete all the music on the sandisk. plug into your computer via usb press computer choose the drive the usb is in c d e f whatever and right click and choose quick format will erase all songs takes under a minute.
click on the drive under "My Computer" then enable view hidden files under the tools/folder options/view tab. You should see a bunch of file source things pop up, then delete those
You can't delete anything from the player, it needs to be plugged into the computer. If you have it plugged in use the management software is has a music manager that shows what is on the player and has a add/remove songs button. If you're not using the software your computer may recognize the player as a new storage device in which case you should be able to view the files and exercise the delete key.
On the top is a switch. This switch goes left for lock. Make sure it is not locked. Once it is unlocked, you can touch any switch, button, or dial, and it "wakes up" the device. Now you should have the screen available.
This may not answer your question. Please provide more details if not.
As a note, in case you didn't discover it like I did, if you want to turn off the device to save power when you are not plugged in to USB and you aren't using it for a while...turn the device off by holding it in the "on" position for about 2 seconds. The device will shut down. Place the top switch back into lock position so it will be harder to accidentally turn it back on.
Good luck.
Something unrelated. If you don't have Windows Media Player 10 you may have problems getting music to sync to your device the way you want. Then again, you may have problems even with WMP10. See how it goes.
On windows XP pull up windows explorer go to my computer and look for your mp3, towards to bottom of the list. click on the + next to the name, then click audio, music and the album name for the song you want, right click on the song, then delete.I just tried it on mine and it worked. I haven't tried windows 2000 yet. Hope this works for you
Hey nunu21,
Try this and let me know if it helped:
1. Connect your MP3 to your computer
2. Doubleclick My computer
3. Right click on the icon of the MP3 drive
4. Choose "Format"
Hope it works :-)
