My laptop is HP. With windows 8 I need to turn off broadband ?? To connect WiFi lan setting only..No dial up

If your HP has a Wireless adapter - should have - you should connect to WiFi as soon as you start up your computer. Some start up WiFi throgu a compination of function keys, you should check your keyboard and your user's manual.
I don'r Understand what do you mean by "connect WiFi Lan settingg". WiFi is not the same as LAN. LAN is the cdirect conection to a broadband modem and if your LAN port is coonected through a cable to your modem, you connect to Interent at startup,
No dial up? I'm not sure if anywhere in civilized wold anyone with a computer still uses a dial up Internet modem.

CANT ABLE TO CONNECT DIAL UP CONNECTION

Turn on your computer. Click the Start menu, go to the Control Panel and access "Network and Internet Connections." Click the "Create a New Connection" option in the upper left corner of the window. Click "Next" until you reach a list of options. Select "Connect to the Internet," and click "Next" again. Select "Set Up My Connection Manually," and click "Next." Select "Connect Using a Dial-up Modem," and click "Next." Enter a name for the new connection you are creating (e.g. "Dial Up Connection"), and click "Next." Type in the phone number you will be using to connect to the Internet, and click "Next." This phone number will be provided to you by your ISP. Enter the username and password provided to you by your ISP. This will successfully configure your Internet connection. Plug a phone line into your computer's dial-up modem. You may now use the newly-created connection to connect to the Internet. b> Macintosh Computers Turn on your computer. Access the Apple menu and click "System Preferences." Click "View," and access the "Network" option. Click on the "Show" pop-up menu and find the "Internal Modem" option-or the "Configure" option if you are not running Mac OS X 10.5-and click it. Click the "Configure" menu if you are running a version other than Mac OS X 10.5. If you are running version 10.5, select the "PPP" tab. These options will both have the same result. Enter your information into the appropriate fields in the new window that appears. Your ISP username goes under the "Account" field, and password under the "Password" field. Save your preferences when you are finished. Plug your phone line into the modem jack on your computer. Your computer will now be able to connect to the Internet via dial-up.

For that your phone should be 3g enabled and should have the computer connectivity capabilities. Then you can dial up from your computer and get connected. The settings will be given by the 3g sim provider.

Thanks. Rate if it helped you.

Windows Vista®

    • Choose Broadband if you will use a DSL modem, cable TV modem, or satellite modem.

    • Choose Wireless if you will use a wireless connection through a WLAN card.

    • Choose Dial-up if you will use a dial-up modem or ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network).

Does my new Emachine laptop have no dial up modem?

Correct. It's looking for a standard dialer modem. You may just need to go through the internet connection wizard and define how you want to connect. With a wireless adapter, you could locate and connect to internet with that instead of a dial-up modem. Internet connetion wizard comes with Vista and XP and is found: Start > Control Panel > Network connections.

I CAN'T CONNECT THE MODEM TO MY ACER

Disconnect the modem from the phone socket and connect a normal phone to this outlet. If you cannot get a dial tone and cannot dial out, then there is a fault with this socket. You need to get it repaired before you can dial out and conect to the Internet.
