I can't install jar file on nokia 5320

Hi,

This is a well known bug of Nokia 5320.Nokia have resolved this issue. This bug will not allow you to install .jar files mainly..But it will allow
.sis files which have correct certification.

Nokia 5320 has 3.0 to 4.0+ firmware is available in the market.
You have to press +#0000# and check the firmware version
Even though your firmware is of 4.0+ try to upgrade it again.Because of the corruption in the phone...

Steps how to upgrade it.
1)Connect Nokia with USB cable provided during the time of purchase of the phone.
2)Install Nokia PC suite that is also given during the purchase of the phone in a CD.PC suite can be downloaded in the internet in nokia official website for free.
3)Open Nokia Software Updater through PC Suite interface.
4)Your internet should be On.Nokia updater will download it automatically and upgrade your phone version.
5)Follow the step by step instruction of Nokia Software Updater.

Note:Do not disconnect the phone while its updating....

Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

I don't know to format the 6300

Take it to Nokia Care and get the firmware re-installed. Alternatively, If it comes on, (I personally would not recommend) connect it to a PC connected to the net and update the firmware yourself. It is a risky operation as I lost my E61i but was lucky to get E63 in lieu as E61i was under warranty. Choice is yours.

E71 does not reboot after Firmware update

I too did the same thing with my E61i and lost the phone. Luckily it was in warranty period, so I got a new E63 instead. Samething has happened to your E71. That is why I always advise people to get their phones upgraded thru Nokia Care as they do it with their computers and not via the internet, which is always dicey. I hope your phone was under warranty. If yes then tell Nokia Care immediately and have it replaced. You may still be replaced with E71 as it is still under production. All the best.
