After a half of year good work my player sudenly began to do strange things. Some button make not their functions(when I press to rise vlome it begins to rewind song), and some buttons don't work at all. Doesn't work menu button, rewind and forward buttons. In the official service center I was told that it's a software problem, but they can't do anything as they don't have new software. Tell please, how can be solved this problem.

Hey, I just got one of these as well. They're kind of.... not the best ;) .
Anyway, to turn it on, press and hold the large circle button (play) until the element screen comes on. Then press the "mode" button to get to music. Remember that there are only the "mode" button/switch and the "play" button to switch functions. The other two buttons don't do much.
try holding down the on and off button or hold down the on button this might help !
also this might sound a bit strange but my phone did the same thing when i held down the on button for a little while it turned on WHOOHOO hope it works GOOD LUCK!! OH JUST ONE MORE THING i looked on the bottom of my mp3 box and its the same brand bloody samsung DONT TRUST SAMSUNG IT HAPPEND TO MY MP3 ASWELL your better off buying a diferent brand like apple ipod something like that DONT TRUST SAMSUNG!!!!!!!!
Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear: Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off.Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab.Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions. After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again. -Tha Mp3 Doctor
I also am experiencing this problem with this player. Mp3 players are not yet instantaneosu devices - there is still quite a bit of lag time between when you press a button and when it responds; part of this cannot be corrected. The best thing to do for now is to reset the player, and don't press the "backwards" button especially too many times in a row. Backwards and forwards work better when the song that is currently playing is paused.
When you get the format error there is a couple of things you can do first try this if it has been reformatted and there isn’t any files on it get the sonic stage installer online somewhere not sure where run that and follow its prompts and when this is finished it should put the correct software onto the player which you can open to see if it is there. Then disconnect the player from your computer and hold down the search button for about half a second when the player is in stop mode rotate the switch at the top of the player till you get “advanced menu” and then press the play button to select it and rotate the switch again till you have “format” and press the play button to select formatting will blink and start formatting when finished complete comes up press the search button to get out of it and back to the main menu and hopefully it will work now!!! It worked for me anyways and couldn’t find a simple answer online so I said id throw this up there!!! Hope it works for yee too!!!
