Hello there... Check your PC's volume. You may or someone in your household has accidentally muted it. Unmute it or increase its volume (if you can't find the audio icon in the taskbar, proceed to the control panel - it's there), it maybe too low. Hope this helps... Ai :)

Can you hook it up to an external monitor? It may be running but the backlighting is bad so you can't see the picture. Common failure on laptops. If you don;t have a monitor you can try for a few minutes then all you can do is turn it on and let it boot. Watch the drive lights and any other indicators to see if it is booting up. Then after letting it boot say 5-10 miutes get very close to the edge of the display and look to see if you can see a very faint ghost image of the desktop. It should look normal but just bairly there. If thats the case the backlight needs repair. This will be covered under warrenty if you have it facotry or store or will cost $100 for a shop to fix it. Check out the sales as sometimes a new laptop can be had for a bit mroe than the repair costs. A few people will just use a external monitor if its not worth fixing or they can't afford to fix it.
If ti isn't the display then it can be a bad cpu or other motherboard problem or loosly seated or bad ram. At this point you are looking generally at replacement unless you have warrenty.
