SOURCE: Technika MP-408 2GB Video MP3 player with FM tuner

I bought my MP 408 yesterday and had the same problem. I looked inside the packaging just before I threw it away and noticed a small cd. On the CD you will find the manual and a video to SMV converter. Create a file where you can copy the video to SMV converter software into and create a shortcut on your desk top.You are ready to go, connect your player and start the software. set the destination file to MYvideo on the player, add the file you want to convert using the add button and click on the convert button and that's it. you can resize the video screen size prior to converting if you need to via the on screen panel on the righthand side of the screen.
one thing not related to this problem in any way but you might like to try this and that is throw away your ear phones you got with the player and put some reasonable headphones on and you will be amazed how good this little box sounds especially if you tweak the built in graphic equalizer, have fun,

SOURCE: My Technika MP707 MP3 player

I think that the instructions are not as fulsome as they could be. Once you have downloaded to the file called voice you need to right click on the briefcase and go to move to and then move to the drive you are using - in my case drive G. This should be done after instruction 4.4. Also the taskbar icon is hard to see but it is the one with the green arrow pointing south west.

MP-3 were do I get the songs from

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting music files to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

Whenever I put songs in my RCA MP3 player from blank cds, the organization gets immensely messed up, forcing me to start all over from scratch (0 music). Why? Or how can I fix this?

It could be that your RCA MP3 player is sorting the MP3's by track number. By this I don't mean the track number in the file name of the MP3 but in the "MP3 tag". There's a portion of every MP3 file that allows the file to contain lots of data other than the sound. It contains things like Album, Year, Artist, Title, Composer, Genre, etc. It's likely that the RCA MP3 player is reading the "Track Number" field of the MP3 tag for each MP3 file. You can download a free program called MP3Tag at http://www.mp3tag.de/en/. It will let you specify the track numbers for each MP3. See if setting each file's "Track Number" allows you to sort the order on the MP3 player.

3. Locate the video file you want to put on your MP3 player and select it by clicking on it with your computer's mouse.
4. Once the video is selected, "drag" the video across the media player to your mp3 players name display on the player.

What do you want to know? How to download music, or how to put in on your mp3-player?

To download music, i 'd say search google...

To put music on your mp3 player just connect the player to your pc with the USB-cable, go to 'my computer' on your pc and select your player.

You will see 2 folders: Data and Media. Put your music in the media folder.

If you have other files like text files, put it in the data folder, which will not be accessible from your player, but only from a pc...
