Question about Refrigerators
The red light with the word Alarm on it is on and everything in the freezer is only part frozen after the door was left open for an hour or so.

that's the defrost timer it should cut off for thirty minutes for every eight hours of compressor time for self defrost now compressor time is not regular time as the thermostat shuts the compressor off every now and the when the freezer reaches proper temputure it works off accumulated run time and no you didn't turn anything that will hurt are you having problems with it cooling or you just noticed it was off

Most probably during transportation either the coolant(previously freon gas) may have leaked out so the pressure on the cooling pipeline causing the red alarm because the compressor will overheat if the fridge is kept running at very cold thermostat readings and no effect of cooling the fridge will ultimately result in the compressor getting burnt. However fist have look at thermostat setting knob which could have loosened during transportation and just pushed into the spindle without knowing the correct angle, thus even though it looks as if on high cool but could also be the lowest setting..........sodeep

The fridge need to be devrosted open up freezer door take back of and look if all ice gone from freezing rods restart if same prob it looks like fan not going or heating element not workingon

likely a malfunction somewhere in the defrost system, i.e., the defrost timer control, the defrost heater assembly, or the defrost bimetal thermostat

i have this fidge and suffer the same problem, i rang the company and it was only when i spoke to the manager he mentioned quietly to turn the fridge of for 5days with doors open to completely dry out the inside as its water gathering inside at the back and it worked the alarm stoppped, it was only cos i mentioned i couldnt afford hundres of $ for a repair guy, share the news it sounds commen in the model, ggod luck
