The honeywell tradeline thermostat would work as a direct replacement (no mercury in the new ones), however if your using just heaters and no cooling system off of it, you could Heat only thermostat from honeywell that would replace your unit as well. Both at available at Ace Hardware with the heat only unity being roughly 7 dollars cheaper.

Remember the is a time and temperature controller if you want to use as an ON/OFF controller please ensure you OFF times are set to LOW temperatures for example at 8:00am I want the boiler firing to 21°C at 10:00 I want the boiler to go OFF at 5°C so ensure all so called OFF times are set to LOW temperatures.

SOURCE: thermostat says ''Aux heat on'' and buzzes when we turn on heat

You most likely have a heat pump, the aux heat (usually electric) comes on anytime the room temperature is 4 degrees below the thermostat setting. Does the buzz go off when the aux heat lite goes out? If the aux heat does not shut off then the primary heater (heat pump) is not putting out enough heat to satisfy the thermostat. I need a little more info. Do you have a heat pump? Is it working?

SOURCE: my honeywell ct87K thermostat will not turn the heater on

On your thermostat - R is the power in terminal. Y is the cooling out. W is the heating out. (G is fan out). It does not matter which wire goes to R, the other should go to W - if no heat with a call, the thermostat is bad.

SOURCE: Honeywell T8411R 1028No power to the thermostat; breakers are not

site shows this thermostat is a non programmable unit and has been discontinued. none of the info sheets including a pdf shows a replacement battery. this thermostat operates off line voltage only. check for a control fuse or breaker on your heating unit.

How do I wire a Honeywell thermostat

Can I start by saying I am not in anyway saying to do this alone it is dangerous but if u must follow each step start by being safe shut off the breakers good luck here to help
Step 1
Turn the air conditioning and heating unit off by flipping the appropriate circuit breaker. Test the unit to make sure it's off by turning your existing thermostat to the "On" position and seeing if it turns on. Wiring a Honeywell thermostat when the circuit breaker is on could cause you to blow the transformer that powers the HVAC unit Step 2

Connect the red wires to the thermostat RH, thermostat RC or thermostat R terminal. The thermostat RC terminal has a jumper wire between thermostat RH and thermostat RC. The thermostat R terminal operates both the heating and cooling units, and contains an internal jumper wire. Basically, your red wire on a Honeywell thermostat is the hot wire that run. Step 3

Run the green wire to the thermostat G terminal. The green wire controls the relay that operates the blower, and it controls the fan. Step 4

Control your air conditioning when you connect the yellow wire. It connects to the thermostat Y terminal Step 5

Hook the white wire to the thermostat W terminal to control the heating unit

How to take a honeywell radiator off the wall

Turn off the circuit breaker to the AC and heating unit. The circuit breaker is inside the home electrical box. The door of your electrical box has a guide indicating which circuit breaker controls the cooling and heating system.Pull the cover off the Honeywell manual thermostat. If necessary, use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the cover away from the base of the thermostat. Locate the two small screws securing the sub-base to the base of the thermostat. The sub-base is the portion of the thermostat that has the indicator dial or indicator lever. Remove the screws with a Phillips-head screwdriver, and pull the sub-base away from the thermostat.Remove the screws securing the base of the thermostat to the wall with the Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull the thermostat base away from the wall so you can access the wires.Loosen the terminal screws securing the wires to the back of the thermostat with the flat-head screwdriver. Wrap the wires around a pencil or a large screw. This will prevent the wires from accidentally falling inside the wall cavity.

My heater won't shut off. The thermostat is off but the heat stays on. What do I do.

Turn the circuit breaker (in your home's circuit breaker panel) that feeds that heater OFF. After the heater cools, remove the cover and check to see if the Thermostat wires have come loose. It may also be an electrical relay problem or the wall thermostat has gone bad.

Yes you have the control wires swapped around on the thermostat. take front off and remove it from the wall. turn unit off with the breaker for safety. although the thermostat will not shock you. write down how the wires go on just in case you pull some lose by mishap, they will be a yellow and a blue or brown you should only have two of the three swap them and check.

AC wont kick on....

The first thing to check is your breaker box. There should be one double breaker for the air handler unit, that's the inside unit, and one double breaker for the compressor, that's the outside unit. Check both breakers. If you're not sure if they've be thrown, click them toward the outside of the breaker box (off position) and then click them toward the inside of the breaker box (on position). If the breakers are on and you still are not getting any A/C take a look at your compressor, (outside unit). If the fan is running at least you're getting power. However, your compressor down inside the unit may not be getting power or it may need to be replaced. The compressor has a start-up cap. If this cap goes bad or the wires from this cap fry or corrode away, this will also keep the compressor from starting but the fan will still run. If the fan is not running it could be caused by a faulty relay inside the compressor cabinet. This relay is supposed to open and close based on a low voltage signal from the thermostat. I believe it's roughly 24 volts. This relay switches on and off the 240 volts for the compressor and the compressor fan. Often this relay goes bad or the wires leading up to it fry. If you?re going to work on the unit yourself make sure all power is shut off. There should be a shutoff switch on the outside wall near the compressor. I?d also shut the breakers off.

T8000c honeywell thermostat is blank

This unit doesn't require a battery. It runs off the 24v from the unit. Check that your transformer is still working. Check the control board for 24v pwr. and main pwr. Check your breaker to the unit. It could be as simple as a bad stat too. You can check by using a jumper wire and jumping across from r term. to y term.

Check for either an in-line fuse in the heating unit or a fuse on the control board also in the heating unit.
