I am constantly losing signal and dropping calls on my HTC Desire. I've heard that I need to download oxygen Rom to fix the problem. Do you have any suggestions?

My service provider has been contacted, and we have no problem with the other cell phone we have with the same service. This is an on going problem with HTC.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: No 3G signal on htc desire hd

3G depends on various factors . The basic requirement being a 3g enabled sim card .
1) Go to settings > wireless and network settings>mobile network> access point names> you need the APN from your service provider . 2) Also set the network to WCDMA/ GSM Auto .

SOURCE: My HTC Desire have no screen display.I never drop

Does it have any indication of Power? Any lights on it? If not then it could be a couple of things: Battery, Charger, or Worse case your Digitizer> If your out of warranty a local shop will charge you a diagnostic fee.(about $20-$35) They will check it out for you and tell you what the problem is. A good shop will deduct the diagnostic fee if you decide to continue with the repair. If not they usually keep the diagnostic fee for their time. If its your digitizer expect to pay between $95.00 $150.00. Hope this helps.

How do i stop my signal dropping

I had a HTC 'rhyme' I believe it was called and had constant signal problems, like you I could only get signal again by rebooting the phone as well. I ended up sending it back and had a replacement from my contract. They claimed it was due to 'water damage' But It was like that from the start. Second phone was fine though.

HTC battery wont charge

If the cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.
