Question about DISH Network ViP722 DTV Receiver / 350-Hours Video Recorder
Close Captioning went out on TV1 plus all 3- TV2's (UHF) tv's - by resetting to default on receiver I got the close captioning back to TV1 - but cannot get any of the TV2's to reset the close captioning - all the tv's are set for close captioning and worked fine, until the receiver close captioning went out then they all went out - I've tried unplugging receiver, and all the TV's nothing works - I call Dish Network and they say it is not the receiver's issue but seems pretty concidental that 3 TV's would suddenly lose close captioning
I can definitely look this over with you. This sounds like it is on one receiver. It is possible it could be the equipment, but first I would like you to check something for me.
Go to Menu -> Preferences (8) -> Closed Captioning (6) -> Caption On/Off (1). Make sure it is selected for "CC is on." Once that's enabled, try it again. If CC's are still not showing, press 'Info' on the remote and see if CC is listed on the program. Let me know if you have any questions.

You should have one line entering the home behind the TV1 attached to it there should be a device exactly as you saw outside. You will want the line from outside connected to the single port called in/out and the SAT port goes to the silver seperator. The two lines leaving the seperator attach to the SAT in on the receiver. The UHF poret on the device connects to the home distibution port on the receiver.

SOURCE: Problem with DISH DVR 625
You can accomplish this by either going to the specific TV and selecting the record option at the time the program is about to come on or you can press menu-8-5 and change the record preferences. You can either set the DVR to record programs to the TV2 location by default or TV1 by enabling the record plus feature. In dual mode without record plus enabled all programs you select to record default to the tuner you are viewing e,g, if watching tv1 and selecting to record a program in the future it will record to the tv1 location. In single mode all recordings default to tv2 so you can continue to watch live tv from tv1. I hope this answers your question and thanks for using Fix Ya. Let me know if I can further assist you.
