My hard drive no longer indicates motion of light going round. Plus receiver won't recognize driver.

My receiver does not recognize drive. The indicator blue light usually goes round and round when dive is powered up. That no longer happens. The light stops after powered up in a frozen position.

sometimes the wires inside the cable will be damaged due to bending or stretching or placing heavy equipment upon the cable

just replace the cable of the hard disk, when you plugged the external disk drive you got that windows could recognize the USB device change the cable everything should work fine again,

check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red-white-green-black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems

if this fails to fix the problem

you might have to install a usb 2 or 3 card they are cheap and easy to install you can buy these on Ebay very cheap

A8VE-SE won't recognize SATA HDD

If you are trying to install Windows XP then -
The problem is that XP installation CD does not have a SATA driver, unless you have a SATA drive on a disk etc. and can install the driver when XP asks for a hard drive driver then, XP cannot detect the hard disk and therefore won't install XP. The FIX. Go into the BIOS and disable the SATA drive (enable IDE emulation), this will make XP think it is a IDE/PATA hard disk. Then you can install XP normally. When Windows has been installed then install all the device drivers (including the SATA driver), then shut down and boot up and got into the BIOS and enable the SATA drive.

Pxe e61

You have a hard drive problem. The bios is going through the boot order, looking for a bootable device, it is not recognizing the hard drive as bootable so it moves on to pxe....a network boot. Bottom line....make sure the hard drive is all plugged in. Find out the make....and go to the manufacturer's website....download the ISO to make a bootable diagnostic cd.....and do a quick test, then a long test of the hard drive. If it passes, you make have to re-install the operating system. Sometimes you need to load sata drivers to recognize the disk, but not usually with most newer stuff (unless it asks for the driver during the install, won't see any hard drive). So I would find out if the hard drive is any good, or not. If you cannot find the diagnostic you could try seatools which works on most hard drives, but its best to use the one for that hard drive.
Here's the link for seatools:

Bios hard disk not recognize

First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot andgo into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If itdoesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioningcomputer/laptop again.

My mac no longer recognized the drive. When it is attached it makes a clicking sound.

Clicking means a dead hard drive, usually the controller board is bad, but most shops won't repair this, hopefully it's under warranty.
