Question about Cameras

5 Answers

My camera is a Kodak Easyshare V1003. It was about 1/2 way down on its charge so I plugged it into a receptacle to recharge it...next morning before a big event unplugged it and nothing works, it will not turn on. The camera is only 10 monthes old and I love it. Can anyone advise me as to what to do? Thank-you for your assistance.

The receptacle that I used is also the same one that a small microwave oven is plugged into..no problem in past...as it isn't used at night when I charge my camera...but my son started the microwave early am...then thought he'd better unplug the camera, and it did not work. ???

Hi Imoors,

Taking the camera to a service center will be more expensive than what the camera cost. I would suggest that your battery has dead or failing cells, quite common actually, the cheapest fix may be to just get another battery, I think that battery is just a lemon.

Was your camera dropped or exposed to liquid?

NOTE: If your camera was damaged in this manner, you must send it to an authorized Kodak repair center for evaluation. Damage incurred as a result of impact or exposure to liquids voids any existing warranties and requires that the repair request be processed as a non-warranty repair.

    1. Turn off your camera.
    2. Remove the batteries from your camera.
    3. Visit the Choosing the Right Battery for Your Digital Camera Web page, and follow the on-screen instructions to verify that you are using the correct type of batteries.
    4. Install a set of new or fully charged batteries into your camera.
    5. Turn on your camera.
    6. Take a picture.
