Do parts for a model 3305 skil tablesaw interchange with a model 3400

Here is the breakdown - I believe the brush tubes just friction fit with the wire connected by a spade terminal.

did it short out or are you using the correct voltage?

It just pushes in and out. It is held in by plastic legs on the top and bottom of the switch. Reach behind the switch and squeeze on the top and bottom legs to compress them while you push the switch out. The new one will just snap into place as you push it in. Here is a parts diagram if it helps.

I believe the fence you are looking for is part #860 and costs about $34.00, however I would recommend calling them because there were so many variations on the 3400 that there may be more than 1 fence for model 3400 and you want to make sure you get the proper one.

What is the model number? Its probably a 3400 model, just call 877-754-5999 and you can have Skil send one out for free.

There is no fuse in the Skil 3400 saw. Check your cord, then brushes. You might have a broken brush spring, causing one brush to hang up in brush tube. Possibly there maybe a lot of sawdust holding a brush up.

depends wether the saw is belt driven or gear. just because you cant hear the motor doesnt mean its not running.

What you are describing sounds like the power is being interrupted somewhere. In my experience, this is usually casued by a bad switch. Try replacing the trigger switch.
