SOURCE: kettle shuts off before boiling?

This is caused by a defective overload switch inbuilt in the kettle, sometimes the senitivity is higher than factory settings causing it to trip and reset several times before coming to boil. probably better to put up with it than going in for a costly repair.

The deposits are most likely calcium scale and minute amounts of rust or other minerals. The most environmentally friendly way to clean it is soak it overnight with a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water, then scrub it out with steel wool. If this doesn't do it on the first or second try, go with Lime Away or other similar product. Just make sure you clean thoroughly before using after the chemical cleaner.

SOURCE: My Braun electric kettle won't click on. Do I

It's possible it can be fixed. Ours also no longer clicked. I took it apart and found that the flat plastic piece in the handle that activates the circuitry in the base had broken away from the rocker piece in the base. Fortunately the same flat plastic piece conveniently had a couple of holes in it in a helpful location. I looped some wire through the holes and also around the bottom rocker piece to hold the two pieces together.
I reassembled the kettle and tried it out and it now works fine! Problem fixed.
To disassemble, take the four screws out of the bottom of the kettle. (You'll need the appropriate star bits to do so.) Put those screws in a safe location... Lift off the bottom plate.
Now, the plastic for the handle is held in place by the typical notched clasps used by so many plastic appliances. You unsnap the clasps by CAREFULLY inserting a straight blade screw driver between the handle plastic and the kettle and GENTLY prying the handle plastic away from the kettle. You'll hear the internal clasps "popping" as they snap loose. You CANNOT take the handle all the way off this way. You just loosen it. Now, the top of the handle is a separate piece. Do the same for this. The top will pop completely off.
Next, GENTLY remove the lid. You can slide it a bit up and away. It's a tight fit, so you need to use a little force, but not too much.
Once you've done this, there are two metal pins that hold the main part of the handle to the kettle. They have a little ridge around the top that you can use to pry them out with your fingernail. Once those pins are removed, the handle will simply come off.
BE CAREFUL! The various parts in the handle are now loose! If you aren't careful they'll fall off and you'll have to figure out how to reassemble them.
Now, you'll notice the long flat plastic piece running down the side of the kettle. That piece was hidden behind the handle. It is SUPPOSED to be fastened to a rocker plate at the bottom. If you look at the end of the flat piece at the bottom you will likely see what I did. It had just disconnected from the rocker plate. Take some wire and wire the two pieces together using the little hole-like slots at the end of the flat piece. Just loop the wire through the hole and down around the rocker plate piece exposed inside where the handle is.
While applying this wire, it will be helpful to put a little masking tape across the various handle pieces to keep them from falling off. This is important because you'll probably be wiring the pieces together with the kettle on its side like I did, and the parts will fall off if you aren't careful. When you are done wiring things together you just remove the tape.
Once you've done this, reassemble the kettle in the reverse order you disassembled it.
You'll notice that once you've wired together the two separated pieces, pressing the switch on the top pulls up on the flat plastic piece which pulls the rocker plate which closes the circuit in the base.

Why does it stop running after two mins and has an error code of OE?

The OE or Overflow Error code.
The water inlet valve is an electrically-controlled valve that opens to allow water to enter the dishwasher. Depending on the model, the valve stays open either for a set length of time or until the dishwasher has enough water. However, if the water inlet valve doesn't shut off after the dishwasher has enough water, the dishwasher will overflow. If water drips into the dishwasher when the door is open, or if water collects at the bottom of the dishwasher while it is not use, you may need to replace the water inlet valve.

I have an optima hd180 that will not power up. The projector was indicating a bad bulb, so I replaced that with a new one. Now it still will not power up and the fan does not come on either.

Problem w/ OEM bulb, it causes a lot of issues from my experience. Your ballast might have gone bad, hopefully it's just that. Check the voltage output of the ballast, make sure you're getting the proper amount.

I have a whirlpool electric dryer Model No. GEW9200 and lights come on, it appears to be sensing moisture content, but the drum won't turn

The cause of the problem is either a blown thermal fuse, a faulty belt switch (loose or worn out belt), a faulty door switch, or a faulty machine control board. Activate the "Diagnostic Test Mode" to determine which you should check first to avoid unnecessary disassembly of the machine.

Diagnostic Test Mode Activation Procedure
  1. Unplug the machine for fifteen minutes.
  2. Make sure the machine stays in standby mode when it is plugged back. That is, no indicator light is on.
  3. Press the following button sequence within five seconds: More time>Less time>More time>Less time
  4. All of the indicators on the console should light on and "88" is displayed on the Estimated Time Remaining display panel. It means no fault is detected and the belt switch is faulty or the belt is worn. Replace whichever is necessary to be replaced.
  • If E1 or E2 flashes on the display, the thermistor has failed and the thermal fuse is open. Replace both.
  • If E3 flashes on the display, there is a fault in the machine control board. Check the board for loose connections or replace it.
  • Open and close the door. There should be a "beep" everytime the door is closed and opened and "OE" is displayed whenever the door is opened. The door switch is faulty if no "beep" is heard or if "OE" is displayed even when the door is closed. Check the wiring harness connection or replace the door switch assembly.
Please inform me about the result of the test to give you the exact repair/replacement procedure.

Hi I cannot shut down my computer, even after i go to start, shut down etc it then gives me an error" a fatal exception OE has occurred at 0028:COZA27AB, etc Then the current application will be terminated

OE usually mean outlook express. If you use that, you may want to look at deleting the profile and creating a new one.

Also click star-->run. type msconfig. In the startup tab disable all non essential apps.
