Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9564J Top Load Washer

1 Answer

Washer repair I responded to your post, but from what I gather you do not get to see another post until you rate the first one. That guy just cut and pasted a whole bunch of generic stuff which I feel is a poor response. Check out my possible solution if you have not solved your problem yet.

    Didn't realize I'd posted a problem when I was just trying to get some feedback from another poster. As far as I can see, the original poster never rated or responded to any of the posts, but thanks for taking the time to respond to my mistaken post. I've been screwed over so many times by people rating my good solutions poorly or not rating others it's rediculous.

My washer is working until it hits the spin cycle. It won't pump the water out, but makes a clicking noise when it tries.Is there a way to get to the pump to find out if it's bad?

Going give the same answer as last post I just responded to;

See my post Clutch Fix but I recommend you go to real DIY forum.

I can't find most of my repair post in this forum. This forum to me is a "Call In a repair tech forum" for this model and that is OK if you can't do basic DIY repairs.

I don't want to put in a direct link to the washer repair forum of my choice so put in your browser this phrase;

Appliance Repair Forums > Appliance Repair Talk > Washers > Maytag/Magic Chef/Admiral/Jenn-Air

This is a true DIY Appliance repair forum.

In the Sticky: Neptune TL Washer FAV6800AWW 5 post down you will find a link to the Service Manual. You absolutely need the Service Manual to DIY issues with the machine. It's not the best SM but will get you started. I also have repair post in that sticky to help with the most common issues with the machine.

If you need help open a post in that repair forum and I will try help you through your issue.

Whirlpool model wtw5640 washer. It will not drain or respond to any commands after it reaches the first drain cycle. It does not respond to commands until the washer is manually drained by removing the...

We had similar symptoms with our WTW5640. It turned out the belt has come off the motor and drum pulleys. The second time it did this, it damaged the pulley on the drive motor. I believe the root cause of this problem is that the nut which holds the drum pulley on needs to be installed with loctite, so that it won't loosen and begin to wobble. Problem is that the drive motor pulley cannot be replaced by itself... you need to replace the entire motor. The part itself is $250+. We decided to cut our loses and dump the whirlpool. We'll never buy another whirpool appliance again. Our washer was only 3 years old, while the one we owned before it (Kenmore) lasted 23 years.

What is the error ue ?

You did not mention what make or model of your washer. If it is a LG, UE means an unbalance load. This means that your load is too small, or the wash is gathering on one side or it is unable to distribute the wash evenly. Try adjusting your load size.

Washing machine power cut off mid cycle

Hi just read your posting.On the information in your posting I gather that your machine will not power up.Is this the correct assumption?If I am correct then there are 2 reasons why your machine could be faulty.The 1st is your motor controller is faulty or your pump is open circuit.Please look under the machine for me and to the front right you should see your pump which has either a black or red fan attached to it.Please verify if you have this style of pump.Looking forward to your reply with the additional information.

What does control lock mean?

This means that the machine will not respond to any controls and will have to finish its current programme completely before it will respond to any operator controls again. It is very useful to stop anyone changing the programme mid cycle. It also means that if the power is cut or you have a brown out that the machine will just carryon where it left off and finish the programme.

To unlock the Control Locked feature:

Press and hold the End Of Cycle Signal button for 3 seconds to turn this feature off.

When the machine is running and Control Locked light is on, the machine can be stopped by pressing the Pause/Cancel button, but cannot be restarted until the control is unlocked.

Washer clunking

Look just inside the door. Between the door and the tub. Feel around behind the rubber boot that seals the tub to the door. See if you find a bic lighter, pocket knife or something like this.
