You need to get to know what format it will support for your MP3,then use a video converter to help you convert the videos to the right one.
It will been played in a right video format.
have a look at this one which is the one I have used for long.

SOURCE: Sakar 50009: When I

Download a current version of windows media player on your pc and open it. when it opens it will ask if you want to search for music on your pc - choose yes or ok. The media player will locate any music files on your pc and bring them into it so you can see them. use the "sync" function to convert the file formats to mp3, then connect your player to your pc using the cable and transfer the music to it. the sync function should convert the files to mp3 format first and then when they are converted - it should sync or transfer them to a useable version on your mp3 player.. Be patient, the sync feature is sometimes slow.

I Put a Mtv file on my coby MP601 2g and say unknown format, What should I do? and Why video not working?

Hi princessb515...
You are trying to play a video with the wrong video format...you have to change the video format for it to work on your MP3 player...
Check your manual to see what video format it needs...
It will probably be MP4.
Go to this webpage and download your FREE media format converter...
Please take time to rate me thumbs up

My Coby mp601 8gb won't play the converted mtv videos, says "format not recognized", what's up with that???

Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is anincompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to aformat that your MP3 player uses. My Transcend Tsonic 850 can't play video. I converted my video to .MTV but it still said "No support".

T.sonic 850 only supports ".mtv" video files. You must use the "Transcend MTV Video Converter"
Software to convert ".MPEG4," ".DivX," ".AVI" and ".xVID" video files to the ".mtv" format.
This converter software should be on the CD you had together with your device.

Good luck!

CONVERT MOVIE FILE TOMTV.FILE THROUGH MTV CONVERTER

This may be due to codecs. You need to install the video codecs to your system.
The video convertor supports most of the video format 3gp, wmp, and more.
But it won't support .flv format.

Cheers...!!!

Coby mp610 2g mtv unknown format

Hey try to get the video file you are converting to .mtv to convert to .mov first.I had the same problems until I tried it that way.Someone else somewhere says mpg is a good format that the converter will read well and convert properly.I never tried it though. However I find that .avi files will give you problems. This is because .avi is a container not a format.

Also remember Youtube videos download as flv files and if you use MediaCoder like I do,to convert from flv to .avi you will have problems because the actual format will be Xvid and the container .avi.

fFor the sys err problem..visit the Coby USA website ...there is a firmware fix there. The actual link is on this site in another Coby mp 610 question.

I hope this works...let us know
