My Behringer DX626 Mixer got beer spilt on it, and i got it back from repairs today, but it seems as channel 2 / the crossfader still doesnt work. e.g i have crossfader in the middle, and both channel 2 and 3 faders on. but only channel 3 is playing out. i have to push the crossfader all the way left to get any sound out of channel 2 please help

hmm really fiddly to take the top off, as the circuitboard is so close to it.

i tried it again using channel 1 and 3 and they work with the crossfaer in the middle, so i think its still a problem with Channel 2, im taking it back to repairs tomorrow.

thanks a lot for the reply will keep posted :)

Sounds like the beer short circuited the equipment, the people who tryed to fix it didnt do a good job seems like, try taking it apart an use a cue tip an find any beer fragments that could remain in the unit, that mite be the problem

BEHRINGER MIXER UB1832FX PRO, ONE CHANNEL STOPS WORKING SOMETIMES

That can be a real bummer to find. Swap connections with another channel. If the problem channel changes it is the external connections, if not it is the mixer. You would have to quit using that channel or get it repaired.

Is the number on the effects display still flashing? Can you select effects or is that section dead now? I've had occasions with my Behringer mixers where a bad ground or otherwise improper power supply seems to cause issues with the effects section but the board seems otherwise functional. It has definitely had me scratching my head a few times and is worth investigating.

I have a Behringer sx2442fx mixer, and when i try to use my aux 1 and 2 channels for monitors it doesn't seem to be working. I sthere a chance that i have a button or something on the board thtas p

Make sure that you have enable the main monitor volume at the end of the mixer. They are labeled AUX1 and AUX2 as well located under the last channel of the mixer. If those are on 0 your monitors won't work

HOw do you use the crossfader if all your music is coming through one port???

The crossfader is to gently fade from one source to another. If you only have one, the crosfader isn't useful... it would act like a plain fader with one side being dead and the other at full volume.

My vmx1000 mixer the crossfader only cuts out one side the other just contiues to play no matter what side u put it on

I suspect that one element of the crossfader pot (slider) is broken. Possible cause is if something fell on the knob or wear from use.
If one end breaks on one channel, the opposite end side will remain on full while the other channel will behave normally.
Replacement of the dual pot will LIKELY involve removing all panel knobs to remove the circuit board to replace the pot after disassembly of the unit. Not for the casual DIY person.

I suspect one end of the crossfader pot has broken from the element. The fader probably costs less than $5.

You likely will have to remove all the knobs and some screws to seperate the board with the fader from the front panel so you can replace the fader.

VERIFY the pot is bad with an ohmmeter before dis-assembling however.

You MAY be in luck. It looks like the cross fader has a connector which MIGHT allow you to remove it or certainly only a small board for replacement, seeing these take abuse.

It appears that the cross fader is a dual 100K type B taper.

Good evenin' pluged a dx626 to 220V with all as it was from stock. it light for a moment and from that time doesnt work. problem in fuse? please help

It could have blown the fuse. The fuse is a part of where the power cord plugs in behind a little cover.

Most of the electronics is fairly well protected. If fuse is blown, replace with identical size and try it once. If it blows again, some parts in the power supply are damaged and will require service.

How do i set the control for the crossfader on the djx700

u should b able to use it so long as you change the mode from stereo to split, then you can just use the panel at the bottom that says "crossfader:" :P

Crossfader Selectors scratchy

The sliders on MOST of the mixer devices are pretty weak. They are subject to dirt or liquid getting into the slot and spoiling them. Fix is to replace them. You usually can find replacements at Digikey or Mouser that are suitable. The parameters are the resistance, the packaing and the length of throw AND importantly the "taper" of the resistance element.

It does not appear to have a crossfader

Check this link for a closer look at the mixer. You can click the "larger image" link and get a really good look at it. Unless one of the knobs are a crossfader, but I always seen sliders as a crossfader. At least you can see it better here.
