How to get sound&video drives

My laptop is compaq presario v6604 iam instal xp srevice pack2 .
iam download the drives from hp.com and install but the softwears is not working .how to get sound, video and other drivers

On compaqs website there is a driver download link use tis tio save all drivers then install them one at a time. if there is a sm bus / chipset driver get it first it will help with the other drivers.

Are booting the laptop from the XP CD? If so it should just give you an option to delete partitions then format and install starts. If you try installing XP after Vista has loaded it wont let you as XP is older. Cheers from Scott

You need sata driver for your hdd. to install Xp you need usb floppy as well. (i.e.) for drivers for sata during xp installation.
