Put the drill in reverse and hold the chuck (which is the plastic grip behind the bit) and tap the trigger. this will release the bit. If it's not a keyless chuck then you will need a chuck key, which you can get at your local hardware store. Tip: bring the drill with you to the hardware store as there are different sizes of chucks

Between the set screw and the bit. Use pliers to unscrew. U may need to hold the bit so it does not burn at the same time. Just like a drill :)

Top chuck just clicks but won't change bit size?

It sounds as though you will have to replace the chuck. Remove the screw (l/h tread) from inside the chuck first before removing it.

Screw bit size the steering column cover on a 2001 Ford Escape

You thought it was a Phillips Screw

It is a Torx Screw like a T20 size, most likely

You also come across some metric hex at times,
so make sure it looks like a double hex, thus torx

Was given a drywall screw gun to use, but I need to change the bit to fit smaller star drywall screws. How do I remove and replace this screw bit?

I use a DeWalt and the bit should just pull off like you would a cordless drill/driver. You might need a little persuasion (vice grips or pliers) because of the constant torque placed on it.

My brush is no longer working on my bissell healthy home vac. when i try to turn it on it makes a high pitched squealing sound. I'm pretty sure it needs a new belt but my husband is having trouble getting...

According to Bissel, they should be standard phillips screws. Nowever - things change.
This is a general guide from Bissel for belt change -

Check your model number on that site for exact details.

If the screws are Torx (star) or other security screws, tool bits are available from Screwfix -
That fit standard loose-bit screwdrivers.

Hope that solves your problem.
Thank you.

Screw in chuck is unknown size

this can be a problem if you have been using reversible drill bits in chuck as they tend to drill out screw head when drill bit jams if this has happened you may have to drill screw and use an easy out remember it will probable be a left hand thread

Carb adjustment

Screw both screws right in (don't force them) Then turn each screw out 1 & half turns each OUT. This will get engine running. To fine tune- turn low speed screw out, bit by bit, while idling, till engine revs change, then turn screw in till revs change, the correct setting will be somewhere between the 2 adjustments you just made. Do the same thing to the high speed screw, but with full revs. Good Luck. Stevo..
