Re: 120 gb pen drive copying problem
Sir ur anti virus may not be able to detect the virus and as u say that u have tried reformatting i think there could be some bad sectors in ur portable storage device. so u might want to take it to a service centre. i can provide u with a service centre address if u tell me ur location.

You'll have to use the keyboard shorcuts CRTL + C to copy, and CRTL + V to paste. But you'll have to highlight the portion of text that you are wishing to copy using the touchpad. It can take a bit of practice to highlight what you want, but keep at it and you'll pick it up in no time.
Pen drive? A USB drive? Have you formatted the drive? Do you have Admin. rights? Remove the USB drive , reboot the computer, insert the usb device, does the computer ID the device and apply a driver? Do you get a popup? Does it show in Computer? What are you trying to copy to the drive?
Well, if you have a CD-ROM or a DVD-ROM drive, You can insert a Windows 7 installation disk and install it. If not, you can insert the disk in another computer and copy all files in a pen-drive. <You have to right click on the disc folder and select explore to do so.> Then, insert the pen-drive into your laptop and double click the setup file to install Win7 on your laptop!!
Once your computer and operating system are up and running, then plug the USB pen drive into an empty USB slot on your laptop.
You may have to wait a few moments while your computer detects this device and automatically installs the appropriate drivers for it, which should take no more than 30 seconds or so.
Now just click on the MY COMPUTER icon on your desktop or navigate there manually.
Look in the section titled DEVICES WITH REMOVABLE STORAGE.
You should see your USB removable flash drive listed somewhere in that section. Just double click on its icon to open it up.
Now that the USB pen drive folder is open, you can just COPY and PASTE, or DRAG and DROP any document or file from your computer into that USB pen drive folder the same way you would transfer files to any other folder on your computer.
To copy files, just RIGHT mouse click on the file you want to copy, then select COPY from the drop down menu.
Then just RIGHT mouse click anywhere in the USB pen drive folder and select the PASTE option from the drop down menu.
Once all your files are copied, just close the USB pen drive folder.
Then click on the SAFELY REMOVE HARDWARE icon in the lower right hand corner of your taskbar at the bottom of the screen. Select the USB removable pen drive option and then wait for it to say that it is now safe to remove the USB pen drive.
Then just remove your USB pen drive by pulling it straight out of the computer's USB slot.
By a pen drive I'm guessing you mean a USB flash drive like thing. When you plug the pen drive in, your computer should automatically detect it and open up a window that has its contents. Leave that open and find the file that you need to move onto it and just drag and drop it into the Pen Drives window. Its as simple as that. Then close the window and disconnect the drive.
Insert pen drive, right click on corresponding drive, then select format
format should fix it if the drive is not physically damaged.
Also, did you set your flash drive to speed up your computer or use as additional ram? if so that might also be an issue.
Put your USB Pen into the USB Port. Go to the folder where you keep the music file on your computer, right click on the file and highlight 'send to'. This should then give you a choice of options, one of which will be 'removable disc' This is your 'usb pen drive'. Select this option and the file will copy over, you should get a box comes up telling you that it is copying.
hi... Probably a virus, or your windows folder got corrupted. Try to use
Knoppix (A linux distrobution that boots from a CD) to get all your
data onto a pen drive or external hard drive. Download the Knoppix ISO
at Knoppix.com and burn it onto a CD or DVD using MagicISO
(magiciso.com). Insert the CD, and you should see the boot screen. Open
the file manager, and copy all the files you want to keep from your
hard drive to a pen drive or external hard drive. Then, reinstall
Windows using a recovery CD (one might have come with your computer).
Copy the files back
First to make it clean, you are not allowed to make copies of the original DVDs. They are under Copyright law.

You will see contents of the DVD. Press CTRL+A click and drag it to the new folder on your USB !
Later you can watch the movie from the USB.
If you want to copy a disc to antoher you need some software like Nero and you should choose a DVD Copy.
Please note that you will need a Disc with tjhe same size as the original (4.7 or 8.4 GB) and also, note that some DVD movies are protected and can not be copied, or that you might not be able to watch a copy of it.
