If you don't have a disk for the drive you'll need to go to the manufactures web site and download the proper driver for the drive. You then need to install the driver according to the manufactures instruction, after that windows should be able to load your driver.

Go into your BIOS and see if the drive is recognized in there. If its not, then you'll need to turn off the laptop. Take out the drive from the system and then put the drive back into the system. Now go back into the BIOS and see if its recognized in there. If it is still not recognized then the drive is bad and would need to be replaced.
If the drive is recognized then go into windows into the device manager and see if the drive is there. If its not recognized properly then that means you might either have spyware or a virus on the computer. You can also try replacing the drive as well to make sure its not a drive problem.
