The Amcor 3900 was actually sold needing updates - as the installed map software was over 3-years old.
There is no update available at this time. Amcor sold these units with a promise to have an update
available (with a fee) in the future. However, their website for this unit has been removed from the internet.
It is not reasonably likely for there to be future support for this unit from Amcor.
First you have to get the updated software.(igo8 is what i bought)
Look around for on that has the newest maps included It will be cheaper than purchasing separate.(you also will get free updates later when you buy the software.)
hook up gps to comp via usb.(with the software card in of coarse)
go into the flash drive (not sd) using the comp and look fotr a text file called "IGOPATH" and copy it to your desktop and open it.
Change the "Navigate" line under moduals to the exe location on the sd card.
then write it back to gps and reboot gps by the side switch.
You have now updated the armcor3900.
I am pretty sure that all of the maps and drivers are on this download named IGO Flashdisk software. This should be what came on the disk to begin with. http://www.amcornavigationusa.com/eng_support.html
