SOURCE: flashing status light

Wow I may have just fixed the flashy yellow status light problem. It's so siple yet so difficult. Looking at the front of your T.V. on the left hand side bottm there is a door for a filter. SMACK IT. if the door isn't shut all the way that status light will flash. Mine is turning on now, just have to work on the major problem now :) Hope you have the same simple problem.

SOURCE: My Mitsubisha WD 65838 dlp TV has a high pitch

These HD TV sets are 100 times easier to fix when they actually still (mostly) work.
Instead of waiting for the screaming component to fry and die, execute your warranty service, if
you have your original warranty info - or return it to the point of sale, if your TV was
purchased within the retailer's return period.
The squealers are almost always something in the power supply, or the audio circuitry , FYI.

I have a wd52525 the status light keeps blinking

There are 3 different LEDs on the front of this televison. The TIMER will blink green. The STATUS will blink orange and the LAMP will flash red or orange depending on if there is a failure or if the lamp timer is showing over 5000 hours.

If I answer your question directly and the status is blinking a steady orange light, then you have left the side filter cover or the front lamp cover off or they are loose.

Also holding the menu and device buttons together until the timer light blinks will reveal a code that will help in diagnosing your problem. Goodluck.

Mitsubishi WD-62525 yellow blinking status light

Check that the lamp door is closed all the way. There is a saftey switch that closes from the door being on all the way. If not the status light will keep blinking. There is also a switch on the air filter door.
