How do I check he pump for the clog?

normally these pumps don't plug up,it is either the sump in the bottom of the units interior that has food residue plugging it,remove the screen and check in lower sump area,or the hose leading to the housev drain or garbage disposal can be blocked with food sludge,if you still need to remove the pump, you will need to tilt the machine upward to remove the hoses off the pump, but this requires removing the water supply hoses and electrical connection to the unit

Hi I have a 2 year old lg LDF7920ST Dishwasher... It started leaking out of the bottom about 3 mths ago. Now it makes a load grinding sound when attempting to wash dishes...

There is a drain in the evaporator (inside the door) that has a black tube that is clogged in the tube or where it connects. Food or soap scum can clog it and the water will flow down the white tube to the floor. Remove the screws form the door and then clean out the tube and nipple part.11_16_2012_6_15_43_pm.jpg

Tub smells like mildew, how do i get all the sludge out from the rubber lining, no matter if I run the tub clean cycle, it does not remove any of the sludge!!!!

You need to manually wipe out the inner seal(lining) every time you finish with the washer. This is one of the main complaints with front loading washing machines. You also neep to leave the door open(ajar) after you finish washing so the machine can completely dry out inside otherwise you will get a buld up of mildew. Also run a dishwashing packet like cascade(yes the stuff for the dishwasher) when you run the clean cycle. It is the same as the expensive washing machine cleaning packets that the appliance servicemen from sears sells to customers.

Cleaning Dishwasher sludge

This may be coming from your garbage disposal. You may not realize that residue in the disposal will seep back into the dishwasher line. Make sure the hose to the dishwasher is higher than the port where the hose enters the disposal. This will work even if you don't have a disposal. Many people make the mistake of lying the discharge hose from the dishwasher lay flat. It must go up to come down. That's why dishwashers have pumps. Hope this helped !

My 1999 jeep 4 7l is knocking bad any sugestions

In most cases, this will be due to restricted oil flow that can be caused by motor oil sludge build up. this will happen if you don't change your oil regularly for a long period of time. i would drop the oil pan and, have a look inside of the pan. if you notice a black gum or thick sludge build up on the bottom of the oil pan, this will confirm sludge build up in this engine. this is very bad and, it can keep the vital parts form receiving proper lubrication during run time. This could also be bad rod bearings or worn crank shaft sleeves as well. main bearings could be worn also. This sludge can ruin a engine very fast and, it is almost impossible to remove. if you are noticing any smoke coming form the tail pipe, this will confirm this.

LG dishwasher drain hose

You will have to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet, lay it on it's side, and remove the bottom access cover to get to the end of the hose. (it's usually not as bad as it sounds)

Lg dishwashers

The LG dishwashers have a perminant mesh filter just below the bottom spray arm.
The filter can be removed by removing the spray arm by pulling straight up, then removing 10 phillips screws. Whenever you remove the filter, inspect for debris beneath the filter (including hard to see broken glass.)
