Change of operating system

I have a Creative Labs Video Blaster WebCam Notebook which I had used with my Toshiba Laptop that had a Windows XO operating system. I had to change my Laptop which has the Windows Vista Home Premium Operating system. Will this web cam work with Vista and if so can I dowload a driver for it online. That particular webcam has been retired from Creative Labs for some time now. I checked the manufacturer site as well as driver guide in hopes of someone creating a Windows Vista driver. Unfortunately there was nothing available.

The biggest problem with Creative Labs is they have Horrible Horrible driver support. I remember the nightmare of getting the drivers for my Audigy Sound Card replaced.

If you want to try to get it working follow these steps, in this order:

1) Plug in the cam and see if Vista will autodetect it and set it up.
2) Try using the Windows 98 drivers (probably won't work but you can try, stranger things have happened)
3) If one of those 2 steps allowed the cam to work, just find yourself some webcam software. (2 Free ones off the top of my head are Fwink and Yawcam)

If neither of those options work, you'll have to go and replace your webcam. I would recommend staying away from Creative Labs. I've got a great Logitech Cam (Mine does HD Quality) that I purchased for about $80. It's called the Logitech Quickcam 9000. It does a beautiful job and it comes with everything you need to get started. There are cheaper models available that will work equally as well with Vista. Check your local computer store.

Creative Video Blaster WebCam Go Plus Lens has turned green and does not show images

The website says it's an item that is at the end of its service life.

And support is limited to automated support, there.

I also couldn't find the Video Blaster Go Webcam Plus, just the Video Blaster Webcam Plus.
