Most car stereo's that have a usb connection require that the songs are located in a certain folder or a "Visible" folder. I would check to make sure your car stereo does not require the songs to be located in a certain folder and if this is not the case you might try making the folder on the ipod "Visible" as the folder the music is located under on most (if not all ipods) is set to "Hidden" by default. If you are able to see the folder the music is under on your ipod while it is hooked up to your computer try right clicking the folder, clicking properties, and then unchecking the box that says "Hidden" and see if that helps.
