Question about Computers & Internet
Has soon as the power supply is turned on the motherboard powers up. I get nothing, no beeps, no video. I have changed the battery, Removed the ram and video card and disconneted the motherboard from the case. I even use another power supply and has soon as I turn on the power supply the board powers up. I know its old and its just a back-up computer but I can't figure out why. Any ideas?
Try your cmos battery make sure it has dust free connection and is securely seated and has plenty of charge
some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in
hope this helps

remove your video card uninstall if you ugraded this and temporarily use the on board then switch on. this way you can determine if your motherboard is also having a problem if you hear a beep beep sound your ram memory shold be taken out clean it then transfer to other slot.

Hi this is tech crazy
The solution to the problem is as follows
The main reason for CPU fan overworking or not working is due to the load we put on the syatem while operating. So,the first reason for fan not working may be due to the SMPS malfunctionality.Better check out for it.The reason if fan is working but Overworking is due to viruses is system. So go in for format
Hope this solution helps you

SOURCE: No Dispay, No Beep
Try leaving it off but with power to it (should see a small green LED on Mobo) for about 30 minutes or more.
After this time try starting it with RAM installed of course!
If this doesn't work your Motherboard is dead.
