There is no special setup to make it work or ask the computer to send a signal. All you have to do is for you to hook up the VGA cable to the the port that is on the television, then you select your AV channel and you will have your computers display on the television.
From your remote just select through your AV channel and you will see the channel that the computers display will come up on.
