Temperature wrong will not shut off when teperature is reached

    Temperature is 10 to 15 degrese off and if i set it to 60 degrees it will shut off at 62 and on again at 60 but it really is 70 - 75.

My home theater automatically shuts off and displays "PROTECT" before it shuts off.

The oven does not get up to the proper teperature


The problem is the ignitor is not reaching the correct amp draw. There is a free video at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html this will walk you thru performing the amp draw test.

Installed the Honeywell RTH2300


at the thermostat you have a small tolerance (most have 5% + or -) few degrees is not a problem ex...70F= 21C and 82F=27C this diference is inertial, you can set a lower temperature(ex...60 F to reach 72 F) the problem is if the temperature grow and never stop until the saftey thermostat stop the heating.also is posible to have a broken thermostat(work thermostat) and in this case it must be changed whit new one or the teperature probe is plced in a wrong place.

water heaters run until they reach a certain temperature and then shut off, in a similar way to the thermostat in your air conditioning.

Outside fan and compressor does not shut off


the system is wrong, the blower must run continuously , and the compressor is the will stop if the temperature setting is reached. The outside fan is the same as the comp.

Won't shut off when reaching preset temp


The heater shuts off when it reaches two degrees above the set temperature and turns back on when it is two degrees below.
