SOURCE: 90 Series Kenmore Washer Not going to spin cycle not draining water

If the unit is still agitating as it is supposed to, this is usually due to a faulty lid switch.

SOURCE: Kenmore 90 series washer is leaking water from the pump. How do I remove the pump to repair or replace? Thanks!

Hi, You can change the pump by disconnecting power, water fill hoses, & take drain hose out od drain. Lay the washer on its back (use some padding under machine so that you do not damage threads on inlet valve. The pump is located on motor and has two clamps holding it. Just remove those clamps and the two drain hoses from the pump. The pump should release from the motor shaft. If the motor shaft is rusty, the pump might not want to come off ease and the shaft will need to be cleaned with sand paper or emery cloth so the new pump will go on easy. Failure to get the pump on all the way will cause the new pump to leak also.
Put your hoses back on the pump and everything should be ok.

I hope this helps you some.

SOURCE: 90 series Kenmore washer won't spin

You need a new timer. The clicking sound is the timer knob going and your washer not "agitating" is the result of the timer knob not sending the signal to the rest of the machine.

Kenmore 90 series washer won't drain and go to spin cycle

Take the power plug off the wall. Be prepared for a lot of water before attempting the following. It doesn't spin because the unit is not draining water. It will not spin with water in it - must drain first. Check drain hose for kink, check exit pipe for blockage. Remove the front access panel, bottom front, screws beneath; if you find a pipe there with a cap -this is for draining water. Could be your "coin trap assembly" is blocked, therefore not allowing all the water to pump out. Remove the clamp (or unscrew) that connects the trap assembly to the pump and clean it out.
If helped pl say so.

My 90 series Kenmore washer spins but doesn't

The most likely problem is the drain pump.

Where can I buy parts for my kenmore 90 series, specifically the piece on top that tells the washer to run when the top is shut. I have a Kenmore 90 Series 22992 100.

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number (###.######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts, part numbers and Sears prices.

If your complete model number is
110.22992100See the following:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModel!retrieve.pd?modelNumber=110.22992100&pathTaken=partSearch

I assume that you're talking about the Lid Switch.

Most local appliance parts should have the switch since it is one of the most likely parts to be replaced.

On the Sears site, you may see a comment in effect "manufacturers authorized substitute". If the first three digits of the complete model number are 110, the washer was made by Whirlpool and those are Whirlpool numbers. Again, usually available at appliance parts stores.

Need a water pump for a kenmore 90 series washer. What is the part number?

There are 2 possible pumps. The difference is the hose sizes. One will have a large and a smaller hose 3363394, or 3352293 (Supco LP116), the other both larger hoses 3363892 . Check that first. Those are the Whirlpool numbers, not the Sears numbers.

Kenmore 90 series washer does not drain

Check the following to address this issue.

1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.
