Hello, Hi, I've just got myself a brandnew Dell desktop with windows 7 32 bit on it. Everything seemed to work fine, but my computer enters Power saving mode at completely random times while im actually...

The simplest thing to do, as it is a desktop computer, is go to the control panel, power options and set everything to never so the computer never goes into standby mode.
If this does not prevent the machine going into standby mode then we need to perform further troubleshooting.

Dell Monitor is stuck in power save mode. tried

Hmmm...Stuck in power save. I guess when you push the power button, the monitor says power save, then blanks to power save, no matter if the Computer is on or not.
This means the monitor does not see any signal from the computer. I would suspect the computer first. Try a different monitor (borrow one).
If the size of the monitor picture is too high and the monitor is an older LCD, you may have set the image size too high (1280x1024 will not work with this monitor and it will do this very thing).
A broken or damaged connector cable to the monitor can also cause this. Was the monitor unplugged from the computer just before this problem?

When I leave my computer, after a while, the screen says that it is going into the power saver mode. When this happens, I can't do anything with the comuter. Can't turn it off, can't get the screen out of...

Basically you need to tell the computer to "wake up." Different systems come out of power-save mode different ways.

First, try pressing the key to the left of the [CTRL] button on the right side of the keyboard. It looks like a list with an arrow pointing at the second line.

Next, if you have a keyboard with a little button that has a quarter-moon logo design on it, press it.

Also, look at the power light indicator on the CPU. It should change color when it goes into power-save. If it does, try pressing the power button once for it to wake up. The same is true if there is a power button on the keyboard.

If none of these work, you should look at your preferences and make adjustments. The power-save mode adjustments are generally found in the control panel under Performance and Maintenance in the Power Options section.

Hope this works for you!!

My LG flatiron W1943TB turns on, says analog power saving mode, goes black and then the power button flashes.. but the monitor is hooked up to my dell notebook bc my LCD died

Hi erin mckinle,
That is probably it's, uh, analog power saving mode. When the screen goes black and the power button flashes, make some mouse gestures or hit some keys that would not affect anything (try spacebar). That should bring up the screen. If you think it goes into power saving mode too fast, go to Control Panel --> Power Options, and change the values. Hope this helps.

My computer will only turn on in "sleep mode"

When the computer is on try just pushing the power button in and out once. if this doesn't work you may need to change some settings in the startup setup menu to keep sleep mode off. Usually when a computer is turned on there is something like "press F1 for Bios or DEL (something else) for setup" setup is where you'll want to go. it will look like an old MS DOS program but using your arrow keys to navigate you should be able to change the settings.

My screen isn't coming on, stuck in power save mode

i had another person say the same thing your not the only one what you have to do is unplug the computer and unplug the screen from the computer and the socket then plug the computer back in and not the screen turn the computer on and then plug the screen into the socket first then into the computer. And if that doesn't work then try a different screen in the computer and check the pins at the end of the screen lead are all straight if that doesn't work then i have not got a clue.

please rate my help to you and how fast the reply was ok .

thank you very much.
