Sounds like you could have a problem with the door lock try and give the door a bang but its more likely to be the lock.
Hope you manage to sort it.

SOURCE: Reluctant to start

problem is almost certainly the door interlock. to replace, remove the plastic clip holding the door boot onto the cabinet and peel it back adjacent to the door lock. the door lock is just held in by two screws accessible at the front of the cabinet. not an expensive part. easy job - takes about 10 min

SOURCE: our washing machine (Zanussi ZWF 1632 W) flashes 5 times

This is a motor problem the end light flashing 5 times indicates error E50. The motor has either got wet or has just failed i would suggest trying to dry it 1st but i would suspect the motor has gone down to earth usually having to replace it. The part no. DST1246179079 Motor aprox £195 but shop around you may find it cheeper.

Zanussi washing machine err appears and machine doesn't work

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors or back feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET valve to open up and allow water to flow into. If this does not happen then the voltage at the inlet valve must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

Finally after the wash the drain valve will be activated, the water is allowed to come in to rinse and then finally the dry spin with the drain valve/pump activated so as to drain off all the water from the clothes during the spin.

Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.

Hi,our washing machine will not start, all lights are on will not start? any ideas ?

Make sure that the door switch is working - if this wont work then the program controller unit will not be initiated to start.
If this seems OK with a test that the switch is contacting and the wires are intact to the program controller, the we need to suspect the main-controller unit. Check all wires to check if there is any break.

Machine stops half way through program

One looses touch with all the codes available, but normally if washer stops mid cycle its due to a blocked or faulty drain pump. OR incomming water is to slow or defective inlet sensor. Switch off and start from the beginning. See if you can get machine to drain by moving the timer etc. If not, rectify pump problem. Take note where in the cycle the problem arises.

My zanussi washing machine fj1033 finishes normal wash progam but doesnt go into hihg spin therefore clothes are wet rather than damp.if i turn dial to spin cycle only it works that way.please advise.

If you have not already done so, then check and clean the pump filter, this is usually located at the bottom right front of washer, behind a drop down cover or flap.
Unscrew anti-clockwise to remove and clean.

Exactly the Same Problem

It's difficult to say without seeing the machine or having a failure code.
The machine looks for a switch to close as it fills with water. Maybe a pressure switch?
You could find the switch and see if it clicks when blowing into it and even test it with a meter.
That's an easy test.
Maybe the module has failed.
Hope it's given you something to look for.
