open a browser and put in the IP address of the router in the address bar .( http://192.168.0.1 ) and hit enter
you will be prompted by a login screen. Check the manual for the routers login name and password ( should be admin / password ) Once you get in the web interface of the router, you should be able to fnd the firmware version.
Hope this helps thanks Ranjit

If the PPP LED is flashing all the time then you have not got a connection to your ISP's server.
Have you contacted your ISP?
The ISP can test the ADSL connection to the your ADSL2 modem and advise whether it is a fault or not..

Step 1 : Check the IP Address of the Computer
Step 2 : If it is in the Range of the Router ( 192.168.2.x)
Step 3 : Try typing 192.168.2.1 on the address bar of internet explorer
Step 4 : If not working Hard reset the router by inserting a paper clip into the reset hole on the back of the router
Step 5 : If the IP Address is any public address or 169.254.x.x then also do step 4
