SOURCE: The diopter setting eyepiece has come out of the

The entire diopter setting eyepiece was off.I separated the eye cup from the rest of the diopter setting eyepiece, and aligned the channel guides on the lens piece to slide it into place. Then holding it in place, taking care not to gum up the lens, I experimented with how to screw in the retainer ring so that its white dot registered correctly. Finally reattach the eye cup and focus. It's like new!

How to operate

This is a reflector style scope with a large mirror in the bottom, and a small secondary mirror underneath the focuser. The focuser is on the UP end of the tube as the picture shows in your question.

Simply insert the eye[pieces into the hole on the focuser and turn the knob left or right until the image comes to focus. Practice during the day time on a distant object starting with the eyepiece with the largest number written on it.

Read this--
http://texasastro.org/telescope.php about the types of telescopes.

Objects in the night sky are tiny and many of them are very dim-- the scope must be pointed directly at them or you will not see anything.

I need manual for my bushnell refractor telescope.i can not see anything.

All of Bushnell's manuals are on this web site:

http://www.opticsplanet.net/bushnell-warranty.html

Look down the page for your telescope. The manual will NOT tell you how to use the telescope. It is only assembly instructions. Take the scope out in the day time and practice focusing on a distant object. DO NOT USE the 2x barlow if you have one. Just put the eyepiece with the LARGEST number written on it into the focuser. Turn the focus knob to the right and or left until you get a sharp image on a distant object during the day time.

No it's not --- junk it and buy another telescope. This time avoid Bushnell- Tasco, and Edu Science scopes.

Check out the Orion web site here, for a Dobsonian reflector telescope. The most aperture for the least amount of money.

Will not focus, only light comes through, no image at all

All the manuals for Bushnell telescopes are located on this web site- look down the page for your model telescope:
http://www.opticsplanet.net/bushnell-warranty.html

Put the eyepiece with the LARGEST number written on it into the focuser, this is your lowest magnification.

Take the scope outside during the daytime and practice focusing on a distant object. Turn the focus knob slowly while keeping your eye on the eyepiece, watching closely for a focused image.

What are the adjustment knobs on the windage position for? Is it to adjust sighting or to focus the scope? Why are they not covered like most scopes are

The adj knobs on there are for windage on the right and elevation on the top, if they are not covered, they are turret knobs for target shooting, not for hunting. The focus knob is the rear lens, it spins in and out to fit your eyesight. It usually focus on the crosshairs and the distance for most shooters, some will not be able to get it right because of their eyes. 98% will. Hope this helps.

Bushnell 78-9003 telescope No light coming through

The end with the focus knob should be pointed UP, the mirror is on the BOTTOM of the scope. Turn it around and make it look like the picture in your question. Remove the cover, put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. DO NOT use the 2x barlow if you have one.

Now you should be able to practice focusing during the day time on a distant object.

Reflectors may also need to be collimated. Watch this video:

New bushnell telescope, cant see anything, what am i doing wrong?

Put the lowest power eyepiece in the telescope-- that's the one with the LARGEST number on it.

Go outside and practice focusing on a distant object at least 100 yards away-- turn the focus knob slowly.
