Trouble removing valve cover on the right side (passengers side) of the engine on a 1996 mark viii. Help


  1. Remove engine appearance cover retaining bolt and nuts.Remove engine appearance cover from vehicle.

  1. Disconnect engine control sensor wiring at intake air temperature sensor (IAT sensor) connector and crankcase ventilation tube from air cleaner outlet tube.
  2. Completely loosen air cleaner outlet tube to throttle body bolt (captured bolt).
  3. Loosen clamp on air cleaner outlet tube to engine air cleaner (ACL) and disconnect air cleaner outlet tube.
  4. Remove remaining bolt from support bracket clamp on RH valve cover to air cleaner outlet tube.
  5. Remove air cleaner outlet tube and engine intake air resonator.


  1. Remove two retaining nuts from engine air cleaner outlet tube bracket to valve cover and remove engine air cleaner outlet tube bracket.
  2. Remove four nuts retaining RH ignition wire cover and remove cover.
  3. Disconnect ignition wires from spark plugs with a gentle twist! pull motion on the spark plug boot. Remove spark plugs.
CAUTION: Do not pull on the ignition wire as it may separate from the connector in the boot.
  1. Remove bolts and studs retaining RH valve cover to cylinder head.
  2. Remove valve cover.

Changhing valve cover gasket 03 mitz galant 3.0 v6


  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the upper intake manifold.
  3. On the 3.0L DOHC engine, remove the ignition wire cover.
  4. Remove the ignition wires and spark plugs.
  5. Remove the crankcase ventilation tubes from both valve covers.
  6. Remove the retaining nuts and engine wiring from both valve covers and move aside.
  7. Remove the valve cover retaining bolts and studs.
  8. Remove both valve covers from the engine.
To install:
  1. Clean the valve cover gasket sealing surfaces.
  2. Install new valve cover gaskets onto the valve covers.
  3. Place the valve covers into position.
  4. Reinstall the valve cover retaining bolts and studs and tighten in sequence to:

    3.0L SOHC engine: 7 ft. lbs. (9 Nm)3.0L DOHC engine: 42-54 inch lbs. (4-5 Nm)3.5L engine: 30 inch lbs. (3 Nm)
  5. Install the engine wiring and tighten the retaining nuts.
  6. Install the crankcase ventilation tubes into both valve covers.
  7. Install the ignition wire separators, the ignition wires, and the spark plugs.
  8. On the 3.0L DOHC engine, install the ignition wire cover.
  9. Install the upper intake manifold as described in this section.
  10. Connect the negative battery cable.
  11. Run the engine and check for leaks and proper operation.

Removing steering column shroud on a 2006 sierra 3500, no screws where videos show to remove them there's a recess area but no screws in the locations indicated


Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement

Important: You must check for 2 pan head tapping screws (1,2) in the lower trim cover before removal.
If necessary, remove the 2 pan head tapping screws (1,2) from the lower trim cover (3). Remove the lower trim cover (3).
If screws are not present in the lower trim cover, proceed to the next step.
Gently unsnap the lower trim cover from the upper trim cover.

Important: You must check for 1 TORX® head screw (1) in the upper trim cover (2) before removal.
If necessary, remove 1 TORX® head screw (1) from the upper trim cover (2).
If a screw is not present, remove the upper trim cover (2).

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2. Remove the crankshaft vibration damper.
  3. Remove the generator drive belt tensioner assembly.
  4. Remove the timing belt front cover bolts, and remove the covers.


rear cover
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2. Remove the front covers.
  3. Remove the timing belt.
  4. Hold the camshaft sprocket with Special Tool 6847, or equivalent, while removing the center bolt.
  5. Remove the timing belt idler pulley.
  6. Remove the rear cover fasteners and remove the cover from engine.

If your capable of searching google, you may want to grab the service manual for this, heres the procedure to change it out but as you can see there are even more procedures along the way...

A lower bolt on the primary cover broke,so i removed the shifter and foot peg bracket,then removed all of the bolts from primary cover after draining primary fluid. The primary cover still doesnt seem to...


You need to remove the derby cover from the primary that goes over the clutch adjuster. Remove the sping and the locking nut. Turn the adjuster screw clockwise while gently pulling the cover off. The cover should come off then.

Zx-9r 2000 how do you remove the clutch side cover to change the clutches


Hello,
The clutch cover is removed in a two step process.
  • Remove the clutch cable by loosening the adjustment at top and bottom first. Then remove the cable end from the clutch lever. This should give enough slack to remove the cable at the bottom by the clutch cover. ** Take notice of the angle of the lever that the cable goes into the cover. You will want to re-assemble the clutch cover with that lever in the same angle.
  • Remove the clutch cover bolts around the outside of the cover.the cover should now be removed by pulling the cover straight out.

IN-VEHICLE REPAIR Valve Cover Removal
  1. Disconnect the oil feed sensor electrical connector.
  1. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation tube.
  1. Remove the appearance cover.
    1. Position the throttle cable out of the way, and the speed control cable (if equipped).
    1. Remove the eight bolts.
    1. Remove the appearance cover.
  1. Remove the spark plug wires.
  1. Detach the upper part of the engine front cover out of the way.
    1. Remove the four bolts.
    1. Position the front cover to one side.
  1. Remove the valve cover.
    1. Position the throttle cable to one side, and the speed control cable (if equipped).
    1. Remove the nine bolts.
    1. Remove the valve cover
