Flames shotting out of my exhaust with my Poulin pro Snowblower

I have a poulin pro snowblower I purchased from costco 2 years ago...recently it has been staling out when I try to use it and right before it dies out a gun shot sound is heard with flames that shot out of the dual exhaust, I have been reading that the fuel might be too lean but have no clue how to or where to start to fix that....also...was told to drain the fuel and put in fresh fuel with a stabilizer in it...but have no idea how to drain it next to living it running till it burns out...any help would be appreciated.

Hmmm.. yeah, I just created a question about how to remove a question from FixYa to see if I could change it after the fact. NOPE! That's kind of silly of them. Sorry for assuming that there was a way to remove or move a question!

This is not something that you can repair yourself. If still under warranty (and it should be if only 5 months old), Sony will repair this for you free of charge. Contact Sony through their website (the following is an example if you're in the US):

SOURCE: going through batteries abnormally quickly

Hi. I had the same problem with my Canon S1 IS. In my case the problem was caused by flash capacitor. To check if it is the case just follow the following procedure. 1. Turn on the camera. 2. Be sure that low battery warning is flashing on LCD. 3. Turn off the flash by pressing flash button (be sure that flash is OFF but not in AUTO regime). 4. Turn off the camera. 5. Open and close the battery door. 6. Turn on the camera. 7. Take several pictures.
If after these operations the low battery warning does not show up it means that flash capacitor causes the problem and it should be replaced. Or you still can make pictures with your camera without using a flash.

SOURCE: engine surges after warm

If your engine has an adjustment screw on the bottom of the carb. try adjusting that at high idle first also if you have a low idle screw. If that don't clear the surging than you might have to take the carb. off and clean it. If cleaning the carb. out dose not do it you may need to put a new carb. kit in. Any questions feel free to ask.

I have several serial numbers of guns, and need to use those numbers to get the year they were made and what they are.

Hi cjre:

Check with the manufacturer for each gun to determine exactly what you have. Then you can search such sites as Shotgun News and to see what is out there. you could always seek the opinion of a gunsmith and/or gun dealer. if it an antique or collectible, check with firearm auctioneers such as Poulin Auctions and do a comparative search. poulin might be able to help you with a valuation.

good luck"

My saw simply will not pump chain oil. Iv'e run it with the bar and chain off and the pump works.Put it back together and nothing. Before reinstalling the bar I blew the saw clean. I had a Sears Poulin a...

Check that the bar oil ports are clean; there should be a small hole or slot on each side of the bar and these can become pluged with sawdust. Also clean the groove in the bar with a small screwdriver or bar cleaning tool every 8 hrs of operation.

If this does not fix the problem check the oil sump screen in the oil tank(usually on the end of a rubber hose); if no screen in tank: remove oil pump and clean(screen is sometimes in oil pump assembly).

The correct mix is 40:1. That is 3.2 oz 2 cycle engine oil to 1 gallon regular unleaded gas 87 octane. Use ethanol free gas if you can. Ethanol will damage your fuel lines in time.

2375 ''wild thing'' poulan saw hard starting after carb rebuild

Through trial and error on fairly new Poulin Pro, found that the usual 3-half turns for both high and low was too much (flooded) (Used to be good starting point on weed eaters years ago. So, turned both all the way in, and only backed out 1-full turn. (2-halves) Saw fired up perfectly, and ran wide open just fine. Try that.
