My poloroid will power on but no picture

Tcon board or panel is bad, chances are its the board, cost about 25 to 35 to repair if its the board

Check for any loose solder terminal at its video output card, which can be located at the back of the picture tube, will directly plugged on to it. Re-solder all the suspected solder terminals, by applying a little more solder. You have to open its back cover to access this board.

If the sound still works normally but the screen is dark then I would suspect the inverter for having the issue. If you dont have sound either then I would check both the power board and the main board.

Hi,
Most probably, Electrolytic condenser in the Power supply to display circuit may have punctured resulting in smoke coming out. Take tv to service centre. There is no other option.

You have a backlight board problem

I purchased a poloroid tv 3732 in may of 2005 from circuit city, after about 14 months the set began making a clacking sound and humming sound that gets so loud it is unbareable. I have to turn the set off. I have found out I am not the only one with this problem that has a poloroid tv. I had a technician at my home that told me there is a service warranty on these sets because the wrong part was used and the part needs to be replaced.
