There is a tape stuck in my camera.

It starts to eject and then stops halfway through so I can't get the tape out.

Here is a picture of where it stops ejecting. As you can hopefully see the tape is still in the open position and I can't get the tape out. Hope this makes it clearer.
    Thanks

There may have been a spring that pulled on a tab in these places that will unlock the the tape , and if is not unlocking it will go back to close position

also is the tape still around the head or has it retracted

  • jason Nov 05, 2008

well then the problem is the sensor that detects the tape in there , when it fails the tape will not come out , vcrs do this also

the only way to get it fixed is to find the bad sensor and replace it

the only way the tape will come out then is to disassemble the unit untill you can get the tape deck unscrewed and then it will come out , but there are alot of small parts , so be carefull not to drop anything inside

otherwise you will need to take it to a repair shop where they can test the sensors to find the bad one and replace it

Canon ZR-800 Mini DV Camcorder tape stuck

The way I can get a tape unjammed on my Sony camera is to remove the battery, plug the camera into the AC charger that is plugged into the wall outlet. Then power the camera on, wait a few seconds. Then unplug the charger from the outlet, wait a few more seconds (camera still in "on" position) and then plug it back in. I have used this method at least 3 times to get the camera to release the tape and finally eject. However, the tape is usually pulled or stretched and I use a small flat head screwdriver to wind the tape back in, but expect that portion of the video to be ruined.

Tape won't eject from CCD-TRV608

There is a little plastic piece on the tape and it is getting stuck, you have to maually move this piece, witha paper clip or something else. it might break the piece off, but that is the only way I know to get it out.

Tape will not eject

If you remove the power while the basket is halfway up, you should be able to remove the door. Then look to see if the reels are turning when you try to elect the tape. The error code you are getting indicates the reels are not turning for some reason. You can ssist the reels turning as the tape is ejected if you have a small plastic pick or a toothpick into the reels to assist the reels turning and tehn you may be able to remove the tape.

Unplug battery and reattach it again, then try to eject the tape.
If problem still exist and camera shows error code "C:..:.." and beeps then it is problem of tape mechanism.

i just read about this c:31:22 problem while looking for a solution to another problem I am having. Someone suggested removing the battery, switching the camera to the "camera" setting, and then turn it off, put the batter back in and it should work. Good luck.

Warning indicator C:32:00/C:32:11

I had the same problem (error c:32:00, beeps and tape would not eject. Cassette was halfway ejected) on my Sony CCD-TR416. I found the fix here:

http://www.camerahacker.com/Forums/DisplayComments.php?file=Video%20Camera/Sony/DCR_PC5E_Error_code_C_21.00.html

To summarize: remove the battery, unplug from the wall and smack the **** outta the bottom of the camera. It worked for me. It looks like my problem was that the tape had started coming out of the cassette body and caused a jam.
