The speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
or you might have to clean the dust from your computer dust causes static which causes your computer to overheat and all sorts of problems
be sure to wear an anti static earth strap before touching anything inside your computer try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the CPU central processing unit and your SOUND CARD dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems
hope this helps

DVD tray not coming out fully and dvd disc tray not rotating and screeching sound is coming

it sounds like the "Tray" loading belt has stretched, You could try cleaning it, this would prove a point but will need replacing. the belt is small (about 20mm diameter) and is located under the disc tray near to the front, removing/replacing it will require the hifi to be dismantled.

Sounds like a blown output on those two speakers. Should be a quick fix just replacing the integrated circuit if that is the case at any hi fi technician

Does this unit come with speakers

If it has no volume control or terminals for speakers then it is a hi-fi seperate and needs to be connected to an hi-fi amp to work.

Jvc deck same problem, powers on and functions but no sound

the car is equiped with an amplifier. there is a black wire that you didn't connect. just connect it to the blue with white wire from your radio and it should work.

The word "protect" appears on my screen and shuts my unit off; what should I do.

Sounds like you have either a speaker wire exposed and/or crossed. Or speakers that are capable of too much wattage/ohms resistance for the receiver to match.

Motorized flip face won't open

i have had this deck since December 06 when it first came out. Retail was around a grand but with an employee discount price was only three hundred. For whatever reason the motorized face does not work well when the interior gets hot. I do believe it is a defect in the deck. If your deck can be returnded get rid of it. I originally thought the problem was due to low voltage going through the deck, but it has nothing to do with that. People will inform you to replace a ribbon on the unit, but really why bother, more than likely it will fail again.
P.S. if the unit does partially open you can still force it the rest of the way. I did this by pushing the face up while it was trying to rotate. Mind you I only resorted to this due to bring sick of the current cd, and I was on the way to installing another deck. If the deck will continue to work after forcing it open numerous times, i do not know.

Same Prolbem as the other guy

Do you get sound when you use the radio? If so, the blue wire from the back of the radio needs to be disconnected and you need to use the blue/white wire instead.

If that doesn't work, try connecting either a test speaker or one speaker at a time. Your problem could be a short in the wiring - if the (+) wire to a speaker is touching the (-) wire, the deck will cut out all sound to keep itself from overheating. Let me know if you need more help.
