Question about Digital Concepts 952AF for Pentax Flash

Open Question

Diagnostic Mode for "Digital Concepts Flash 952AF"?

Actually my Flash works fine, I've a question though. There's a interesting thread on the web, how to get into the diagnostic mode of a Nikon Speedlight for increasing the output – to increase the sync speed!

Is it possible to do the same on the Digital Concept Flash? Is there a hidden button sequence?

thanks for the answer.

When I try to turn my flash on it says macro mode, What is this and how do I fix it?

Macro mode is for taking pictures of subjects very close to the camera. In this mode the flash is disabled.

Without knowing the model of your Digital Concepts camera I can't tell you how to take it out of macro mode. If there's a button on the back marked with a flower icon, press it. Otherwise look in the menu.

The wing of my hot foot has broken off due to a wayward volleyball at an intermural tournament I was photographing. Is there a way I can get a replacement foot or casing?

You are basically going to have to look for either junk camera or contact a Pentax desler or someone who can repair the camera. If you can find a parts camera then its is a simple matter of swapping parts. Getting a genuine replacement part may prove to be rather expensive if the part is in the system.

I want to know how to use the 952AF/Nik with the nikon d200 using multi flash units with the commander mode set to channel 1

The vivtar 952AF flash is not compatible with the D200 in commander mode. Only the Nikon SB600, SB-800, SB-900 will work with that camera wirelessly.

Audio on concepts digital 7.1mp camera

Try accessing the setup menu, options, or menu screens. There may be a mode on the selection dial, or it may be accessible through the video mode.

The camera also may not have audio capabilities.

952AF/CAN Flash

I guess you did the basic thing and see if the flash fires when pressing the shutter button.

I don't know the Rebel itself, but I can suggest a few general things. I will be speculating here for you.

Make sure that in the setup for the flash, that the curtain is in the correct mode. If I remember right there is something about when the flash will fire. Check this in the instruction manual.

Also check the flash sync speed range. If the sync speed is out of range for the flash, it will fire at the wrong time. If you want to experiment, try using 1/60 for a start just to see if it works.

If you call Canon tech support, they will help you.
