There is a metal retainer with a spring on the outside of the door around the seal remove that and re-form the seal around to door panel and secure with retaining spring. If this doesn't help you will have to replace the seal.

Hi, I think the seal is damaged on my fridge freezer. It is a CB18m/1c/fan whirlpool fridge freezer. Where do i look for a replacement seal? Thank you

Is a package/or a shelf blocking the door? If a gasket is required & damaged it would be noticeably different than the look of the rest of the gasket. The door originally was held straight by the screws behind the gasket & a undamaged door liner(cracked with weight of packages will cause it to twist), if it is twisted than it can be realigned by twisting it straight & may have to loosen the screws a little first & then snug them back up after it has been twisted straight. Gaskets generally have a flat magnet in them to pull the door up to the body of the fridge & with a model number(or take the gasket to them is the worse scenario) can be obtained from a Major appliance store or they can order it.

Whirlpool refrigerator drain pan overflow

Check the freezer and fridge settings, are they in the middle range? If the machine is working too hard, it will ice up, making more defrost water.
Also, check all the way around both door gaskets, they should hold a dollar everywhere. If there is a gap, the door can be straightened fairly easily, just a little twist.....

Front of wm2277h is leaking

Door could be misaligned through constant use and movement. I have often fixed this kind of problem by loosening any screws on the inside plate and gently twisting the door in the direction required to better align it. Then tighten up all screws.

Don't attempt it at my recommendation... unless you are happy to risk causing possible damage. If not, call a technician who will quickly determine if it can be re-aligned or needs a new door and seal.

We just moved the washer now the door does not seem to be seating tight and water leaks around it. What can be done

You've probably twisted the outer shell of the machine a bit. First, inspect the door hinge and latch for any sign of displacement or bending, and fix as necessary. If you still have leakage or can't see a problem with the door itself, dry the door gasket thoroughly, then whiten it with chalk wherever the door is supposed to contact it. Close the door, then open it and inspect the chalk pattern to identify which way the machine is twisted. (Wipe off the chalk before your next wash cycle.)

Loosen the trim plate screws on the bottom front; if there is a service access panel there, remove it. Loosen the screws holding the bottom of the shell to the base plate, then push the shell in the direction needed to obtain a seal centered on the door gasket. Tighten the screws. If necessary, open the top of the machine so you can loosen the screws and repeat the adjustment. (Usually the front of the top is fastened with a couple of spring clips and can be tilted up like a range top or the hood on a car. Undo the screws that hold the control panel and the back panel, then carefully pry up the top from the front seam using a flat screwdriver wrapped in tape. If it doesn't move with moderate force ask questions about your specific model before you tear up sheet metal).

Maytag dishwasher jet Clean EQ Plus Leaks out the bottom of the front door on the right side!!!

First, examine the gasket around the door or dishwasher front for tears or holes. If the gasket looks good, the door may have been flexed during installation or while loading / unloading. Open the door half way and try to flex counter clockwise. This should straighten out the door and allow the seal to contact properly.

Light is still on and visible! when door is closed...gasket does not seal tightly. What should I do? Fridge is only 2 years old.

The seal will need to be fixed or replaced. The door switch does not shutoff until the door is closed completely. If it is twisted try a hair dryer to straighten it. If it is jamming on the hinge side vaseline might help. Possibly adjusting the door on the hinge may help. If you need a diagram or illustration enter your model # at

We discovered that our front door inner gasket is torn. Therefore, it's leaking during every load out of the door. I will be ordering the part but concerned that I won't be able to replace it. Do you...

If you've not done this before, expect to spend a lot of time. I've replaced these without disassembling the washer's front, but it's an arm-twisting experience to put the inner part of the gasket on, and to attach and tighten the clamp holding it. Haven't tried removing the front panel, if you can, do it - the job becomes much easier.

PS Check shocks and if the washer is leveled enough, door gaskets tear from excessive loads and excessive vibration.

My front load kenmore washer door gasket is garbelled

Something probably got caught in the seal and pulled it out of place. If u run washer so that it fills up and starts tumbling,,, and there is no water leak,, there is a good chance u can repair this yourself. So if there is no water leaking,,, you can try and take out the bottom front panel and twisting, or shoving it back into place. If there is water leaking,,, than chances are its ripped or broken, and will need to be completely replaced
