Can not hook up to my Toshiba TV what cord do i need in order to make it work

Since this model of All-In-One Computer already has a built-in Digital/Analogue Television Function, as part of its standard specification, I will assume that your reason for wanting to interconnect these two devices is that you want to export computer, internet or other IT-based multimedia images to the TV for an enhanced viewing experience due to the TV's larger screen size.

The All-in-one computer has a High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) Port.

If the TV also has an HDMI port, what would be required is the best quality HDMI Cable that the User can afford.

All electrical/electronic interconnections between cables and ports suffer some degree of degradation or dissipation of the signal traveling along the cable. The most efficient metal for electronic connections is gold due to its comparatively high level of electrical conductivity compared to that of other metals used for electronic interconnections.

The best cable choice would therefore be a gold-plated HDMI Cable (see below).

If the TV has no HDMI port, an HDMI to Video Graphics Array VGA Cable Adapter or ([Victor] Radio Corporation of America - the inventors) RCA/PhonoVideo Cable Adapter between the HDMI Cable leading from the computer and the corresponding VGA or RCA/PhonoVideo port on the TV should resolve the connectivity mismatch (see images below).

Once connected, the TV Remote Control should be used to change the Signal Source Input from its automatic standard (Default) setting to PC Input:

Menu -> Source -> PC -> OK.

Printer/computer connection cable

My e-Machine has a printer port on it. If yours does not then you will need to try and locate a Serial to USB converter. I have not seen these but I am sure someplace has them. With the cost of Printers today, I would just by a $39 printer from Walmart and use that. Due to ink cost it is cheaper just to purchase a new printer instead of buying ink now days this will fall into the same category. If you can get a connection box to connect that printer to a network you could do that and access it through a router which would be another option.

My printer won't print due to the fact that the troubleshoot says I'm not connected to a computer....but I am. How do I download a new driver to make it work. thanx

Hello Sir, Hi, that is common error with printers today, but this error can be fixed, here are some of the thing you need to do, they may help.
for usb interface. 1. If you are using a USB interface, you need to install first the driver software, along the setup, you will be prompted to power on the printer and plug in the USB cable to your computer and the printer. make your connection here. If the connection fails, do this several times. 2. If the 1. fails try using another USB port.
for centronics parallel printer cable. 1. Make the connection of the printer to the computer before installing the driver software. 2. Power on the printer. 3. Power on the computer and install the driver CD.
If you do not have the driver cd and you did not mention what printer you have. do a Google search, type the printer make and model and search for the driver. download the driver, usually from the manufacturer's website.

I have a cash management system Royal alpha

I find that a lot of serial to usb or parallel to usb converters do not work due to the fact you can't get bidirectional communication. In every case I have dealt with, the resolution was a dedicated port card to physically install a parallel or serial port in the system.

I show on monitor "no signal" Check Signal Cable

Check that the "data" cable between your computer and your monitor is tightly connected at each end.

Connect the VGA-output port from a laptop computer to the monitor, to see if the monitor works when connected to a different computer.

Connect a different monitor to the VGA-output port on your computer, to see if that monitor works.

Failing all the above, the video-card on your computer is the problem, and needs to be replaced.

I have a 1g Lexar usb key it doesn't work. My computer doesn't reconise it plus the light on the key doesn't flash anymore... pls help as i have my good photo's on it

It could be your USB port that's not working. Try inserting your flash drive into a different USB port. It is possible that the line connecting the USB port was accidentally removed or loosened inside your CPU. You can also try opening your CPU and fix the connections of the front panel wires to the motheboard.

Computer wont turn on

"Then I came across the recommendation to check the USB ports for damage. Saw some of the pins bent inside the port. Once I fixed them, the computer powered back on as normal! Small fix for big problem. Cheers - Parveen"

My wife's Dell E510 also suffered from the orange blinking light on front, and would not power up this morning. I had just purchased a new power supply for another computer and swapped it with the Dell's. To no avail... Put the Dell back together and still no luck with a start. So I came across your site and remembered that recently the 6y'o had jammed a USB port in the front of the Dell and after bending that USB port back into shape every thing works again!

Who would have thought that a free fix would be so easy!

Thanks!!!

SCANNER PROBLEM

Physically unplug the power to the printer, wait 1 minute plug back in. Wait for the printer to come to ready
Try again.

If this does not work, check all connections and move the usb cable to a different port on your computer.

If all this does not work, you can uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers as a last resort.

If this falls, you might have to replace the unit.

Speakers not working.................

Check the following,
  • Speakers, connecting cables and Sound Card are working fine by connecting to another computer.
  • Speaker Cable is connected to an audio port (Audio/Video port in system box).
  • Volume is MUTE / Low (in Volume Controller).
  • Audio drivers have installed.
To Check follow the Steps:
• Go to Start>
• Control panel>
• Double click on "System" Icon> (it shows the System Properties Window)
• Select “Hardware” Tab>
• Select “Device Manager” Tab> (it shows the Device Manager Window)
• Select “Sound, video and game controllers”>
• Expand “+” symbol> (check the audio Codecs, Legacy Audio Drivers and others are not in Questioned Mark (?) symbol with yellow color. If there need to install the drivers ).
  • If not, insert the motherboad CD, browse>select audio driver>install. After completion, restart computer and check.
