I have an HP Photosmart 7350 series and on the display it says "CARD MAY BE DAMAGED" even with no card in the slot. When I do put a card in the slot it says "ONLY 1 CARD AT A TIME." So I'm assuming that the printer thinks that there is a memory card in the slot when there isn't. I've tried cleaning it but it didn't work. Help! What can I do???

Insert a memory card (in my case a SD CARD) and SLOWLY extract card until error message clears and normal screen images appear.I had to do this several times but it worked for me but cannot guarantee it will for everybody.GOOD LUCK.
Remove the Secure Digital memory card from the printer.
Examine the Secure Digital memory card:
Is the lock switch in the unlock position?
Are there any visible discolorations or defects such as crack or nick in the card?
Are there any contacts missing from the end of the card?
Are there any deep scratches in the card contacts?
Is there any heat discoloration on the card?
If all of the above questions result in No , proceed to Step 4.
Check if the HP Photosmart printer supports the file format.
In order to know which file formats are supported by the different HP Photosmart printers, please refer to the manual of your printer.
(Saving the pictures on the PC, if possible) Insert the Secure Digital memory card in the camera (or another device) and format it following the proper instructions to perform it.
Capture an image.
Review the image. If the image is corrupted or an error such as Unsupported Image File is displayed, the Secure Digital memory card is suspected to be defective and should either be replaced or referred to the manufacturer for further troubleshooting.
If the images are read properly, turn on the printer. Insert the Secure Digital memory card in the Secure Digital slot.
If the printer display continues to show the Card Not Recognized error, try using another Secure Digital memory card, if one is available.
If the printer is still unable to read a functional and compatible Secure Digital card, contact HP to obtain additional troubleshooting information.
It looking for a memory right and as you say you not got a card it looking for this because it is trying to save it to the card you will have to look in your printer driver there may be a settings there you need to change and also look on the printer it self in the menu.
The memory card contains more than 2000 photos. The HP Photosmart 7550 printer can only read up to 2000 photos at once.
Save the photos to a computer and access them from there.
The printer thinks it got a card inserted so maybe it worth a try power off the printer and take plug out and leave foe 1 hour then put back on see if it may reset the memory.
