SOURCE: drain pan

yup..that's how it is. no solution but to pick up the dead mouse and clean the drain pan as is, where is.
you might send someone with a small hand to reach the pan completely. rinse it with soap and water to eliminate the odor. use gloves to pick up and clean the pan.

tnx 4 using fixya,

How do I clean the drain pan? Why in the world would anyone make a fridge that has a non-removable - and even a non-accessible drain pan? It stinks after awhile and it does need cleaned - even if jus

The "cover" is removable. Once the cover is removed, you can gain access to the pan and remove it for cleaning. The removal process can be a little tricky, but it can be done.

Frt18hs6dw9 top freezer refrigator

I believe it would be the defrost drain from the freezer is clogged. remove 4 screws in Refrigerator section which hold light bulb, temp sensor assy, etc.
there is a drain pan built in to the rear of this unit, and a tube which goes from the pan to the base of fridge. be removing the unit, you will be able to see if the drain pan has clogged, or if you need to carefully snake the drain tube.
Our unit the pan clogs every couple years.

I have a no frost frigidaire fridge and recently when it defrost it goed at d bottom section of the fridge

The evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the inside of the freezer at the bottom of the rear cover.

Dead mouse in drip pan how can i remove the pan

If you have the model where the drip pan is on top of the compressor you can twist it back and forth a few times. This will break loose the glue that is adhering it to the compressor. Just make sure when you put it back in that you put the drain line back in it.

Fridge is dripping directly onto top shelf. It is

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove panel back/bottom of freezer..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curtain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the fridge is because the water has been leaking into the freezer and down the vent into the fridge instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you have any other question.
