Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I need to know the name of a part

If you will go to the Singer Sewing Machine site and type in "replacement parts chart" in the search box, you can download the parts list for your machine. Takes a little perseverance, but you can locate your part and its parts number there. Here's the direct link. http://parts.singerco.com/CPpartCharts/9_99999/9410.pdf

Many Singer manuals are available for sale or download at the Singer support site: http://www.singerco.com/accessories/instruction-manuals . The direct link to download 9410 manual as a PDF is http://www.singerco.com/uploads/download/440_5_8_10_16_22_dial.pdf . Note: this manual applies to a number of Singer machines.

I hope this helps.

I inherited a singer model 9410. I have never used this model and am not quite sure how to insert the bobbin. My last sewing machine was a front load for the bobbin.

Go to the singer website
Go to the home page
At the bottom of the page look for instruction manual--click on it
It will take you to another page
In the box put the model number (example 9410 ) & click search
They have a free download,,the second one is free

I need to oil my machine. My manual was damaged to the point that I can't open the pages. How and when should I oil my Singer 9410 machine?

I can help you with your manual problem. go to www.singerco.com and under the customer support tab, click instruction manual, when that menu comes down enter your model #9410 now you can download one for free and save it to your computer and print it out if you like. I did not see where to oil your machine, but you can call Singer at 1-800-4singer and ask if your machine is the type that you do not have to oil and was done in the factory. Good luck and happy sewing.

Squeeky machine

I looked at the basic manual for your machine here: http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html (type the model number in the manual search box) and it doesn't show exactly where to oil. If you can get a small can of light oil with a fine spout (like 3 in 1 or similar) then just put a tiny drop of oil on each pivot and spindle. You should be able to see where there was once oil before. Use only a tiny amount or it will make a mess.
