There are many ways to use your webcam on Yahoo Messenger. First off make sure you have logged in. Click the Messenger icon on your desktop. Then find the "Start My Webcam" button in Options to begin broadcasting. Another way is to, when talking to a friend, click the camera icon that appears in your chat window. You can also click on a contact on your Contact List and click 'Invite to View My Webcam.' When your chat begins your webcam will already be ready and on! And if you want to see who's cam is on find and click the 'View Webcam' link located in the IM box. But if you want to see who's watching you click 'Webcam' then 'Who's Watching Me' and find out which of your friends are watching your every move! Hope this helped! :D
Please try reinstalling the camera drivers/software and also the application you use to view your camera first uninstall all the drivers from control panel>add/remove programs and then reinstall the drivers/software again from the disc provided to you.If you use any online chat messengers for video chat like skype or yahoo then reinstall that also.
Well, it's very easy for you to use a web camera. First you have to
decide how do you want to use it.. means you can use it for video
chatting through Paltalk, Yahoo messenger, MSN messenger, Skype etc.
For video chat you will need to install it in your PC.
To install first connect the web cam with PC. Insert the installation
CD in CD/DVD-ROM, run Setup.exe and install it. Once setup is
successfully completed you may need to restart the PC.
Now open and sign in your chat client (MSN messenger, Yahoo messenger,
Gtalk messenger, AOL etc.) For example: If you want to start share your
web cam in Yahoo messenger, just Login with your ID and password....click on Messenger choose option My Webcam. One warning message will appear...click OK....your webcam will start....Now if you want to invite someone to view your webcam, simply click on his/her ID and open IM window....click on Actions, choose More Actions from down of the list....and click on Invite to view my webcam....if he/she accepts your invitation...he/she will able to see you....again if you want to see someone who having Webcam....open the IM window by clicking his/her ID.... follow option Actions > More Actions and click on View webcam....yahoo will send the request to him/her...if he/she accept your request....you will able to see him/her....
For MSN messenger....sign in to your messenger and click on Actions and from list choose option Video and click on Show my webcam to view your webcam to others from your contact list.....or click on Start a video call to start video chat.....
To see others webcam click on View a contact's webcam....if the person accept your webcam....you will able to see his/her webcam....
Same to other chat client too...just little different in options....
I think you can get it easily...

All the best
make sure that you setting up your webcam on your yahoo messenger properly, this problems are not setup properly on YM. Go to Preferences on your Yahoo Messenger, see it there that your webcam is currently default to use on the system, and if not, just to select your Creative Labs Live Cam. Or maybe you didn't install yet your nice cam. You have to setup that before you use all your chat messenger program. Good luck!
Got a solution... you have to close and exit the A4tech (AMCAP) screen. Then start the yahoo webcam by clicking the "My Webcam" on the yahoo messenger. At this time, you should be able to see yourself at yahoo webcam.
I lost my install disc for my creative webcam. I've downloaded all the drivers and used to (before my comp crashed) use my cam through yahoo messenger.I'm broke so going and buying a whole new one is impossible. Is there a way?
