Maybe the ink is finished!
New printers have an "starter print cartridge" with only few ml of ink in it, available only for some pages...
Remove the cartridge and touch the nozzles plate with a toilet paper or lint-free cloth - if ink leaks on paper then OK, if not, your printer is out of ink or the ink is dried up (in this case try to touch the nozzles plate with a water-moisten cloth)...

Check the gear on the left side of your printer where the disk encoder strip is attach,the gear is not holding the metal shaft your need to replace that gear. The problem is in the inner hole where the shafting is attached.
