Question about Canon PIXMA iP90 InkJet Printer
Just to add to the cover removal. You will need to ease a flat screwdriver in the front to release the 2 catches. It does help if you have eased the rear and sides slightly first. The position of the lugs are 1 cm in from each side going from the middle, or where the plastic top seats.
Also there is another catch on the front left that needs to be released otherwise you will damage the bluetooth holder.

You need to remove all the screws on the front and rear of printer then, insert small screw driver into slots on the back and sides, then just lift covers off. There is not way of telling if the usb port is damaged, you just replace it. However once you open the printer you must go into the service mode after it's reassembled in order for it to power up properly, otherwise it will be dead in the water.
